I'm assuming that a very large percentage of the players on the forum are conservative?

Bad Beats-
Ok, don't flame me for this, but the entropy/randomness on Online Sites are definately (fixed/hampered) someway to increase the amount of randomness, fluctuation, and amount of money being transfered (and ultimately deposited).
If you've played enough online poker, you know that there's no way in hell the "odds" are even close to being what they expected to be. This is another reason, skill has less of an influence than discipline.
People that outdraw you or play poorly and get paid- You probably hate them, but these are the same people that you are making money from when they are calling massive raises with TPTK, low 2 pair, draws etc.
I've played a thousands of hands on PS, PP, and Paradise, out of all of them i prefer PP for cash games and PS for tourney. Out of the 3 Poker Stars definately has the worst beats/entropy possible. Why? First day there i hit quads 2 times and lost 1 of them actually.
On many reloads, i run into extremely bad luck. AA vs AA ai preflop loss in cash game and an AJo vs AJo ai preflop loss in sng. also lost KK with a set on a flop to 33 running 3s turn river to some douche, who went ai postflop with pocket 3s rainbow flop, and no set.
Pocket pair sets after flop constantly being outdrawed multiples times during the day by running pairs(yeah s/flush draw i don't count). Oh yes, out of 32 Ais with KK and AA preflop only won 13 of them Very Happy killer luck.
OK that is just evidence, the beats are bad, maybe out of proportion, but despite the horrible on luck on PS, i've done well and you can too if you have discipline. Just understand that everyone has a turn of good luck/bad luck and that day was just not your day.
How hard can accepting beats be? Using bad beats to justify loss or a quick reload will #(%# you over.
Your entire post was intended to be sarcastic.Quote:

what the hell? I hope this post is a joke, or a very clever attempt to lower the average skill level of short handed players out there, cause the advice in this sucks royal ass.
Kinda glad I read the replys first.Quote:

ok i lied and read it all, this guide needs a lot of work. kill it and start over.
I expected much flaming. Thank you. Well, i'd expect poker players to be a lot more patient and open minded, but i guess i was wrong.
I intended to share my personal experience and not just reiterate conclusions others have made up by pros. Yes i know a lot things mentioned are perposterous and even confuse me to why i wrote some things(especially to solid/conservative players). If you play very systematically, you roll will be more stable, but it is easier for people to play against you especially in higher stakes. Which is why i converted from tight to aggressive play. I will try to rework this thing to make it more acceptable, for the time being, let's hope no one reads this blasphemy eh?
About aces/kings being illusion hands. Of course they are tier one hands, but what i meant was to caution inexperienced players from overvlaue them. Well you probably think i'm an inexperienced player by now :D.
Please don't become one of those people that "teaches because he can't do".
"Converted from tight to aggressive play"
This doesn't even make sense!
And I've played plenty of poker and it ain't rigged :)
i appreciated your guide - I think the guide, like everything we ever read, should be taken for what it is - Or better wording might be Take what you want/relate to and leave the rest...I related to plenty of it - People should be more forgiving of the english also - anyway, I agree with the AA and KK thing - I play them strong 97% of the time and try to not get married to them - BUT, that took a long time to learn that just because i had AA I wasn't going to automatically win...Also, lately i'm working on adding some more bluffing to my game - Im running 24% VPIP over my last 5k hands at 6max after i was running 34% before...I definitely learned to cut down some of the crap i played before, but now i play stronger (i think i do anyway)
anyway, the bottom line is that when a post is like 10 or 12 paragraphs long, and written by a foreigner, there are going to be some errors....I felt like what the basics of your play were good - You weren't saying get in with any 2 and bluff the shit outta the tight ass, you just put it from the perspective of the non-rock - Poker can be much more profitable as a good LAG than a great rock (IMO) - especially at a 6max table....
Perhaps if you put it back we can constructivly show you why we believe some of what you have written is wrong whether a player is conservative or not.Quote:

With regards to the flaming (which was mild at most), what people here do have a problem is new posters coming in and starting off with "I been playing poker this long.. I win everthing.. here look I'm gonna show all you noobs how to play real poker" without realising that they are talking to a bunch of players who, for the most part, are very winning players who know what they are talking about. You may not realise it but at least 3 professional poker players posted in this thread so far, you would be wist to accept constructive critisism.
Agreed. I never got to read it. Posting it back up and taking critique could help your and everyone elses game.
Sorry if I was a bit asstastical in my last post, but I just get antsy for flaming when I see someone posting anything about the OMGWTFRIGGEZEDPOKER etc.
I agree, get that post back up, thread could turn out to be one of the most interesting and beneficial discussions of short handed NL ring that this site has ever seen.
