As the stats above depict i am a losing player, however I hope my fate can be corrected, luckly my actual amount lost is around 60, due to bonus and profitable hands in 1-3 player range.

FYI hands above are for 4-6 players with 8.4k hands at 5-6 players.

Here's what I see:

1. You seem to be too loose out of position and too tight in position. In other words, you seem to be playing the same range of hands in every position, which is a no-no.

2. You aren't stealing the blinds.

3. Your "went to showdown" is a lot higher than most I have seen, which may indicate you are making bad calldowns.

4. You seem to be playing too many hands from the blinds.

5. Your raise first in from the blinds is too low. Remember when you are in a blind v. blind confrontation you have position if you are BB, so its usually a good idea to raise. Also be reluctant to limp the sb if folded to, its usually better to raise.

Also, look at all those hands that are costing you a ton of money. Most of those hands suck, so stop playing them. I don't have any hands that are worse than -0.6 BB/100, because when I get dealt hands that I can't play for a profit, I fold them. For example there's no way you should be playing A6s 90% of the time and T9o 50% of the time, those hands suck. My VPIP with those two hands are 35% and 20% respectively.

I recommend that for the time being you should stick to full ring and learn how to be a nit, then once you've figured that out come back to 6-max and work on opening up your game in late position.

I agree with all of Renton's points except for #2, I think raising preflop 12% of the time is just fine and may even be on the high side for you at this point.

I think the reason you are losing doesn't lie very much in these stats, but in your postflop play. Like hand 1.. why minraise the turn? And hand 2.. you bet below half the pot? Hand 3.. Pot is $4.75, the guy bets $1 and you raise to $3.. that's such weaksauce play.

I'd be practicing line reads, hand reads.. putting people on ranges of hands. Betting decent amounts.. before the river, never bet under half the pot. If you ever feel like betting less than half the pot, just check. If you raise, raise atleast the pot. If you're not comfortable doing that, then don't raise. That kinda stuff.

I didn't say his pfr needed to be higher than 12.

I just said it needs to vary with position (to favor late position, hence you'd steal the blinds more).

yeah, preflop hand selection could use some work, but also some postflop play... read some more hand histories here and the feedback they receive.

Hand #1:
Personally, I wouldve dumped this hand on the flop. But since you've decided that he doesn't have a K, then go for it! If you think he doesn't have the King, a minraise on the turn is not going to induce a fold, I'm sorry. If you do think he has a K, and decided to continue, that is a bad decision.

Hand #2: Bet more than that on the flop, man, and hope to take down the pot right then and there. Your hand is very marginal and pretty much any card that comes out is a scare card. 6-handed, On turn, you gotta decide whether or not your 5 kicker will cut it, and either raise, or fold. There isn't much of a chance that you'll improve on the river, so either get it in now or bail out.

Hand #3: Be more aggressive! Your hand is most likely the best on the flop, slam in a big raise on the flop, if he calls you on a draw, it's villain's mistake. You have an overpair and a flush draw, man! Then, turn brings a relatively safe card.... Get it in now!! Once the 2h comes on the river.. I guess calling $3 with a 9high flush is okay in a $10 pot.. but you never should have let that card show up.

I would say work on identifying how strong your hand actually is.

That hand where you had 85... Yeah you flopped top pair (and a backdoor flush draw), but your kicker is terrible and there are 6 different overcards an opponent could hold to outdraw you, giving him a ton of outs. You have to bet enough to make him not want to call you and draw to his overs.. a 1/3rd pot bet is hardly ever going to accomplish that.

Just spend your time reading the hand histories on this site and disecting the replies. It's the best way I know of to improve as a beginning player.

from ur stats it seems like u are treating it like every other position, or you are treating every other position like the button, either thing is wrong

Thank you for the great replies. I know i cannot go to 10- tables, i simply do not have the pateints, nor the ability to 8-table. However, the fact that my range of hands varies slightly with position is huge!, thanks. I will also try to tighten up and get rid of 890-670 in most positions. I will be here to give you an update in another 10k hands, with hopefully more green than red. Thanks guys.
