How do you like the rest of the hand, and do you call all-in on turn?

What about against a tighter player?

a tighter player wouldn't play many hands like this... make something like ATc but thats not very likely

I'd prolly make it ~$6 preflop.

With 1/3 of my stack in this pot I don't think I can fold that turn... I think he wants to take the pot down right there.

When I first read the hand I thought it would be tough to call a 2x pot overbet on the turn with one pair, but then realized he had a 200BB stack and you didnt. Given an effective stack of 100BB and those stats of your opponent this is a call, if he had checked would you have pushed?

Preflop I raise more and on the flop I am probably betting the pot.

Preflop raise is ok;$5 is acceptable as well.$6 may drive him out even if he is setfarming.

FLop bet is standard.

Turn........my instinct was fold but as soon as I saw your stats on him and IF your read is confident enough I'd call and jsut pay him off.Maniacs tend to have air more often than not;if this was a rock/TAP or solid TAG well in that case a fold is more in order.

stats alone are not enough, IMO - if the guy is a good postflop player, he may have 2 pair or a set here...im like 40% vpip and 17% PFR, but i know how to play postflop, and that is where the NL money is made....

my problem with this hand is we had 3 callers and 4 to the flop...that many players, someone is at least set hunting here, don't you think? Raise more preflop, yeah, but you bet the flop solid and got raised all in on the turn - This is a spot I would fold....Just because he's loose, doesn't mean he's an idiot...with that many players in the pot, its very easy to expect one of them hit the flop -

and actually, i think the $4 re-raise preflop is a perfect amount - The short stacker raised 3x the BB, and you re-raised 2 and 1/2 times him...if that isn't enough to get 1 or maybe 2 callers, i don't know what you can do - You don't want to bet so much with your aces that you only take down the $1.50 or MAYBE the short stack re-raise all in for $11, do you? you want to encourage some action...don't we?

If you make a 2.5x raise only with hands you want action with doesnt that become incredibly readable? Would you raise any other weaker hands to mix it up?
