I think Q high likely folds to a push. I called the turn instead of raising to see if he'd stay, and when he did then I thought I might be facing flush over flush or maybe a lower boat. He checked both the turn and the river so he had to be nervous about a higher flush, so I sized my river raise to make it hefty but "callable". That was my thinking anyway...

Eh, going to 60 wasn't bad or anything. I think the ace on the river makes it easier for them to call a push though.

On the turn I really want to build a stackable bet on the river. How often do you think you really get an over-call anyway?

I really can't answer that. This situation seemed unusual to me for some reason.

Well, the most obvious draw was completed, and the check/caller led out on the turn... I doubt they fold if you raise to 30, which is more than the 10 you make off of SB. Raise the turn goot?

Once we gin the turn my thought process is:

He likes his hand a lot
We have the second nuts
How do we take his stack?

Not often enough. Pick the big stack and go after it.

Warpe--these guys are right about raising the turn. As played, I think you should've just pushed the river. Raising to $60 only left $20 in SB's stack. If he'd call that, you've gotta think he'd call a push, and furthermore, you know UTG+1 has the stack to call off the additional chips once you have SB all in.

That said, this is definitely one of those unusual hands where I can see myself being at a bit of a loss. I think you played it okay.

i raise that turn every time, flush pays you immediately. I also probably push the river.
