A couple of (easy?) laydowns

otredojady2 is a donkey, other guy just got there. Once everyone called I figured unless I spike a Queen there is no way I can win this hand. I was playing tight too, so it's not like I'm raising trash all the time to get this many callers.

I don't play for stacks w/ TPTK any more unless it's against the right player. This guy is not bad and he's certainly capable of making a move, but I figured I can find a better spot. He told me what he had after. Still weak?

These laydowns are not easy at all. For the QQ hand, I'd push the flop since I think it's unlikely the original pf raiser (dloon) will just call your raise with AA/KK preflop given the other callers. Also there is a lot of money in the pot and a pretty good chance your queens are best here. Also rr more pf. 30 or so since there was a raise and call.

AK hand is tough. First I'd reraise more pf. 24-25 straight. As played, I'd probably fold and not be too happy about it. That'd be pretty sick if he pushed you off a split or was free-rolling you.

The first hand I think I shove here, but it's close. I don't think it's an easy laydown or an easy call/shove, it's definitely player dependant. If I thought both of them were bad I'd definitely shove.

The second hand, reraise more preflop. I always reraise 3x, and 4x if there is a raise and a call. I have hundreds of hands on Jellybean and he is at about a 16/10 which is pretty damn tight, and he's not all that aggressive either. I think best case scenario is that he had AK too, but he might have had AKd which would have been bad. He might also have had something like KQ or KJ of diamonds, but I still think this is a good fold against this player. He isn't going to shove a bare KQ here. NLD.

hand 1: Yeah i lay this down too. It's painful but from experience in these situations you strike out more often than that you have the best hand.

hand 2: looks like he has a big draw, a flush draw+ something else.. such as TP+flush draw.

The first one is tough, i probably pay him off.

The second one I probably lay down.

Hand 1: Two people hit sets 6s and 7s and stacked off so I felt good about this one. I'm not stacking off with one pair in multiway pots as much as I used to unless I have better reads. otredojady2 is a calling station and doesn't lead much, then he gets raised by unknown. Forgetaboutit. I have 2 outs if I'm behind.

Hand 2: He told me he had AK - didn't mention if he had a diamond. I trusted what he said because he asked if I had QQ first. If this was a different player I may call. JellyBean is VPIP is 21/15 in PT for me. So he pushed me off a split. I try not to play for stacks hoping for a split.

You guys raise it to $25 preflop against one preflop bettor? What hands besides AA/KK/AK/QQ do you do this with? Thanks for the feedback. Making laydowns is one part of my game that needs work. Seems 100NL, I can push and call pushes with TPTK or an overpair and do well - but 200NL that doesn't seem to work well even though there are plenty of donks there.

If I'm going to reraise I'm making it 3x against one player regardless of my hand. I won't make a 2.5x raise with AA and then a 3x raise with JJ, I stick to one consistent raise for everything.

If you were to ask everybody what their biggest leak was, almost all of them would say folding an overpair or TPTK. I know that is a pretty big flaw of my own, but I've gotten much better at it.

I always raise (4xbb+1bb per limper) and reraise the same amount. I figured 1.5x accomplishes the same thing. I only do it with AK/QQ+ so, don't I want a caller? A stronger hand (usually) 3bets preflop. Let me know if I'm way off here.

People will still call 3x raises just as liberally as a 2.5x raise, so make it 3x, it's that much more +EV.
