I dont tend to like to lead the turn, so I usually give up there when I brick. But he bet it, ok, he's semi-bluffing thin. Really thin. He's a bad player. Anyway, you raised. Well, now he's got beautiful implied odds -- even though he probably doesn't know it. He stumbles blindly into a good call. He spikes the river, and his implied odds are, as expected, massive.
Not saying he's a good player, in fact I doubt he's a good player, but his play ain't too bad. Thats how poker works :D
