I know i have seen this explained, but i cant find the thread now. Im play mostly SnG's, but have been dabbling in NLHE recently, and I was wondering when you guys say you are playing $100 NL or $600 NL, what is the actual stakes. Is $100 NL .5/1?

So you are correct. $100NL = $.50/$1
Jut as $25NL = $.10/$.25
Thanks for the answers. I only have about $75 in the BR right cause i took out $200 recently, so i started playing .5/.10 NL (stars), and the standard buy in is $4.00. Is this just because it is so low of a limit, or should i manually put in $10.
ALWAYS buyin with 100x bb.Quote:

The generally recomended BR for any NL stake is 20x the buy-in. So $200 to consistently play at $.05/$.10
I would probably look into droping down a level if you unsure of playing under rolled. If not, have fun milking the fish at your current level.
I figured i might be out of my roll a bit, but I have had good lucky with it so far, and i have a good income so i can deposit if needed. thanks for the advice.
im morbidly curious to hear your definition of 'dabbling'... i hope it doesnt mean you actually sat in a game...Quote:

You're original post made mention of $100 and $600 No Limit games. I assume that he was refering to sitting in on those with a $75 Bankroll.
its just pretty obvious that youd get really hurt, i wouldnt want to see that happen.
ignore me, im just really sarcastic.
I know way would i even think of sitting at a $200 table, let alone a $600 one. I was just using these as an example reguarding the original question. sorry about the confusion.
