I need to enter a huge list of numbers, like from 1 to 20 in .001 steadily increacing increments. Is there some function or something I can use to do this for me instead of trying to type them all out by hand? That could take me 3 days.

Enter 1 in the first cell, then click on the cell below and add the formula =A1+0.01
Then just click on the bottom right corner of that cell while its selected (cursor should be a +) and drag down as far as you want.
Yep.
In the first box write 1
in the second, type the equals sign, which puts you in formula mode. Then click on the first box... which should put the reference of the first box in the formula bar, which will now read something like "=A2"
now type +0.01 and press enter
that box should now read 1.001, but it's contents are actually "=A2+0.01"
what you will see is that the box highlighting the cell has a little black square in the bottom right corner. grab that and drag downwards a few cells.....
you should find it "Fills down" the spreadsheet
1.001
1.002
1.003
and so on.
now you just have to drag that box a few hundred cells down.
helpful?
Genius, why didn't I think of that. Thanks guys.Quote:
