KK vs. different opponents

Hello everyone. I'm what you might call mentally lazy. I've spent alot of time reading these forums and various books on poker, but I don't feel that I have fully digested it or applied it at the table as well as I could. I would like to make a sincere effort to turn that around. I intend to reread my poker literature and review my hands on a daily basis. Also I'll be posting hand histories here if that is alright with you all.

After reviewing todays hands, there are two in particular that I had some trouble with:

Hand 1: Button is very very tight and passive. Though I was nearly certain that I was ahead before the flop, I felt that he was capable of calling with AA because he almost never raised preflop. Flop seems relatively harmless, so I fire a 2/3 pot bet. Button's raise concerned me. I really felt that he hit a set, but I couldn't lay this down.

Hand 2: At this point I had only seen MP1 play 4 or 5 hands, but he seemed to be a maniac. He contested every pot, and went all in preflop with 44 one time. The flop doesn't scare me much so again I bet 2/3 pot. The turn card concerns me, because I can't put this guy on any range.. but I'm not about to lay this down because I've seen him be overly aggressive. However, that read is from a very small sample size. I really had no idea where I stood in this hand, I just hit the call button and crossed my fingers.

By the way, what is the difference between Hold'em Hand Histories and Hold'em Strategies? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

this is the right place. hand histories you want specific advice on go here, general ideas/questions go in strategies

Hand 1: He has a good hand (indicated by his flop raise), but not THAT good of a hand (indicated by his turn check), you should know at this point that your kings are good. His flop riase was just a question to you: Do you have AK? Or an Overpair? You answered with an overpair by your call = him checking the turn.

Hand 2: Nice call on the turn. The pot is $11.10 and only another $4.70 to call his AI (looks like he went all in here). Very standard, nh.
