I got 16K hands played and i run 10bb/100 in 25NL mostly playing full ring.
My BR is 1300$ atm including like 300$ from bonuswhoring.Ive been having cold cards last 3 weeks during bonuswhoring and a serie of bad beats but the last days i managed to catch cards again.
But im doubting now to move up to 50NL,im not sure if its much more difficult or not.If their is hardly any difference with 25NL i want to move up.
Any advice?

move up...your rolled for it, the skill level aint that much better, if not the same as an average 25nl table...move back down if u lose a couple of buyins...
Definately move up. Just don't make the same mistake I did of trying to change your playing style since your at higher stakes.
I've attempted 50NL seriously once, and failed miserably by loosing 5 buy-ins in one session. My biggest losses were hands where I'd c-bet the flop and turn with ace high, as well as paying off the straights and flushes that people were chasing. I can't understand it just yet... I bet the pot ($5), they call(33%) with their flush draw(35%). Pot ends up being $40 in the end somehow.... ??
I found that the tables are only a little tighter @ 50NL, but the biggest difference is player quality post flop.
Well it seems 50NL has players as bad as on 25NL

With a $2200 BR? If you made all of that in only a few months at $25NL, then I dont see how you arent skilled enough to play $50NL. If you lose $250, you still have $2000 left, try playing like 1-5k hands, your bankroll can handle a drop of a few buyins. Id say if you only played one session at $50NL you dont know all that much about how you will do there, in one session there is a lot of weight on luck. I think a big part of it could be you waiting so long to move up. If you put such a mental barrier between the two limits, it is going to hurt you. If you play in sets of say 4 tables, try 2 $25 and 2 $50 tables and see how that goes. Currently Im playing the $25NL over at absolute after a switch from SNGs, and when I hit $500 I was planning on going up to $50NL and moving down if I drop 5 buyins, now I am starting to second guess this seeing that bankrolls some of you are at still waiting to move up.Quote:

OP: I'd definitely give it a shot. If you're uncomfortable, drop back.
There's not much of a skill difference, really. Players are tighter, but you still get mega-donks paying off with everything, and that's where most of your money comes from anyway.
People still get it all in preflop with AQ+ and any pocket pair pretty often.
The average playing ability might be better, but it's not anything to sweat. As long as you don't start cold, you'll be fine.
Thats what I am thinking, he has the bankroll to support a huge dip, and he has shown that he can beat $25NL. I am confident that if the OP sticks with it at $50NL he will be beating that too. I know it is all about comfort level, but I dont think you, the OP, are giving yourself enough credit here.Quote:
