non peak hours too tight

The tables are too tight nowadays in the 1/2 nl during non peak hours. It is almost not even worth my time to play playing these hours because everyone is just waiting for the nuts. Drunk friday, saturday and sometimes sundays night are the way to go if you are into making money fast.
What do you guys think. And also, is there a site where i can play during the day and still find lots of fish tossing money around? I play bodog and have been to party poker but party is significantly tighter at the lower stakes than many people think. Anyway, any suggestions guys?

Play more hands. If the table is too loose, play less hands. Take advantage of people playing only great cards by representing greater cards of your own. This will increase your variance, so just don't take it too far. By this, I mean slow down to any resistance in a hand where you don't think u are ahead. Play a powerful positional game, attack weaknesses shown.

true i might try this but the people at 200 nl are very tricky and can catchon to these things quickly. I am hesitant to do this but i think it is the only way to make more money against these tighter players. When i first started playing poker online i experimented witht he lag style. It has an extreme amount of variance. However, i was not as good at the time because i was just starting out and after busting out too many times i switched to tag and counterplay. This has been working ever since but i will try what u guys say and play a more laggy style. See if it works and let u guys know.

o ya.. one more thing can i get a showing of who plays 200 nl at this site? maybe we can all get together and better discuss more strategies because 200 nl is a different beast altogether compared to the lower and higher stakes.

200nl isn't tricky (it is all relative, but trust me they aren't tricky). Just raise people alot more, as your implied odds go down your folding equity goes up. If they wont pay off your hands, this means they prolly wont make you pay when you bluff.

I maintained a high bb/100 through straight, no nonsense camping strategy at 200NL. I think one of the keys to sucess is getting value out of your hands. You have to take your reads and run with them hard. If you think the guy has TPGK and you have TPTK, you should be able to punish him with 1/3 - 1/2 pot bets on every street. Similarily with TPTK vs over pairs. Raise thinking opponents out of flops where you think they missed. Also I found that big c/raises with flopped sets increased my winrate a TON. Start raising mid SCs from LP against campers, and own them when they flop a set and put you on an overpair when you acutally have a mid straight or a flush. Also, raising SCs sets up some very profitable semi-bluffing situations. I love hitting a OESD or flush draw with SCs and putting in a standard c/bet. Finally, exercising a little pot control in raised pots against probable set hunters decreases their implied odds drasticly.

EDIT: plus, not everyone at 200NL+ is camping out. There are still plenty of fish ready to dump a full stack with AA or TPTK.

Most big sites aren't tight no matter what time it is. Thats not to say that there aren't tight tables or whatever but that is for you to select the right one. Bodog has some of the biggest donks on the net. You may not be getting action but that doesn't mean the site is tight, it may be your image. I play alot of non peek times because of my weird work schedule and there is always a fish fry somewhere.

Personally, I'm pretty Lagg, so I thrive on those tight games. It's actually a lower variance game for me than a really loose game. If you have decent reads, you can destroy a tight game.

We all need to learn different styles to get better. So just try it out, if you sense weakness, attack it. If they're camping, build the pot preflop and punish them for limping. Make them play outside their comfort zone by raising every time you enter a pot.

Boss rooms and B2B rooms have peak hours during the US a.m. and afternoon, as most of their players are European. Move back to other sites at night. That's what I've been doing.

B2B are a network of mostly European poker rooms. They run on Java, and have been growing quickly in number of rooms and number of players. Still a little thin at 200NL, but peak hours in the USA AM helps. PokerTracker now works at B2B rooms, and you can deposit in US$ to save a little in Neteller fees -- it just gets better and better. You can only signup on 3 Boss rooms per computer, but once you've signed on your 4th, 5th, etc, you can play from any computer. Some rooms are on the same 'team' so you have to use a different deposit method, or contact WebDollar (you'll see), but they take checks! They are slow with your money, poor customer service, and incomplete information is common. I would do CasinoDOTnet first ($100 bonus for 500 contributed raked hands), then, if you want more, I can help you prioritize your projects.

yeah european players seem to be worse in general. (No offense to any europeans out there) The tables on those networks with $ in euros and gdp are always very loose.

I play stars 200 nl, and its full of tough players. Lots of fish at peak hours, but other then that its - ev.
full tilt 200 is full of horrible players. best place ive played yet.

Haha - I think it's the opposite. US players at the low limits tend to be either loose passive, tight passive or maniacs, all of which are pretty straightforward to play against.

Also, "gdp"? Gross domestic product? Now THAT's playing out of your bankroll...
