Last year I pulled an all nigher at least once or twice a week.
i pull about 10 a semester........i put off the books until last minute......why am i awake now?
Ive pulled one for an intro to AE class. The first test covered so much material (Like 6 chapters in a 12 chap book)
I drank so much coffee and was so tired and strung out the next day that I felt awful. During the test, i was running off pure adrenahlin or caffine. My arms were shaking the whole time and I was a mess.
I skipped my other 4 classes that day and slept like 17 hrs that night.
During my senior year there were about 8 guys in my good group of friends. We always had competitions for what we called "Championship Belts". For instance, whoever was the reigning champ in foosball owned the belt. Or the champ in Madden. We even had a belt for sharpshooting with various types of NERF guns. There was a list of about 10 things we had "Championship Belts" for and all the owners were listed on a huge dry erase board wich hung behind our tv. Now about once every other month we would have a night in wich every one, or team, must defend their each championship belt to any other teams who want to challenge. Now these would always turn into all nighters. To win a belt it was always best of 7 series wich can get pretty long if you start playing certain games. So we would all get together drink and stay up all night while all of these challenges were going on. Things would usually wrap up around 6 am when we would all go to the REC center because the final championship belt was always time trials going down the huge tube water slide in our pool. After that belt was awarded to a new winner we woudl usually play some full court basketball untill we could barely run, then go to McDonalds for breakfast. After this we would all naturally sleep all day untill about 8 pm and skip all of our classes. God college was great.
Way too often..
ditto on 10/semester.Quote:

weren't you playing mtts earlier?
good job
I stayed in a deepstack MTT 7 hours longer than I had anticipated, which took me through the night.
How come not one post yet has involved drink?
It has to be remembered...Quote:

At some point I get to point where it's just not worth it to stay up anymore.
I did recently pull my first all-nighter at work for a big brief that was due the next day and I let it get out of my reach - I was a pool of jello the next day.
What line of work are you in? "brief" sounds like advertising, which is what I used to do, and I did a LOT of all nighters. Nothing like working 'til 6:00 a.m. to get a presentation ready, grabbing a shower and a change of shirt, rehearsing with your team and then presenting to the client at 10:00 jacked up to the eyeballs on adrenaline and caffeine. Those were the days...Quote:

Brief = stupid paper with lots of required run-on sentences that you give to the all-mighty judge.
We don't serve yer kind here.Quote:

You really start to freak out after about 48 hours. Shadows got creepy and I kept thining everybody was going to try and rob me.
I eventually had to lock my door so I could read, because I would look behind me every 5 seconds to make sure nobody was there.
I think after 48 hours, I was just wasting my time.
I did ace the exam though, so :D
Ive pulled many many all nighters... recently Ive been doing them to get back o ntrack. Like Ill live on 30 hour days, 18 hours awake, 12 hours asleep, so Ill constantly be waking up at different times, and its very disoreienting. So the easy way to fix this is if Im waking up at 4pm, then just stay up til 9pm the next day, then go to sleep, and Ill wake up at like 8 or 9am.
The best was when me and a couple of my freinds drove down to pick up my freind from college. It was after his first semester and he decided he didnt want to go there anymore. It was also his and my birthday within 2days period. So we drove down there and had planned on sleeping down there, but after several parties and bars we didnt really have anywhere to sleep, so we said fuckit, lets just head back. So we left around noon probalby, and it took like 7 hours to drive down there. Then we partied for like 7 or 8 hours, then drove back. For another 7 hours.
heres what I did right before we left on the way home.. notice the accuracy, completely avoiding the interior and door of my freinds BMW.....

surprisingly that looks better than your food.
loooool.
looooooooooool
I pull all nighters all the time
my typical all-nighter experience:
play poker for 2 hours, weed break, whack my penis for 3 hours, weed break, finish the hand job, weed break, Battlefield 2 for 1 hour, weed break, then back to playing poker for another 3 hours, weed break, weed break, zzzzzzz
does it count if your sleep schedule has you going to bed at 8 AM regularly?
Silly americans.... An allnighter is where you stay up all night and then start the next day as usual. You miss a whole night of sleep. Its not one of these half-assed colonial attempts where you go to sleep at 8am and sleep all day
hahahaha bush is ginger
well played
Jealous becuase we're FREE to define allnighters as we please?Quote:

I routinely sleep 3-4 hours a night 2-3 times a week, since I work a day job and play music gigs at night. Not all nighters I know, but it feels like all nighters sometimes, especially at my age! lol.......
I will be awake all night to study atmospheric chemistry. Then I will go to UBC to take my 9 am atmospheric chemistry exam. I am so sick of atmospheric chemistry. I wish I had studied this shit earlier. I am so dead.
Other happy news includes the fact that we're all gonna die of skin cancer because of the ozone hole. GOOD JOB GUYS! I  UV-B.
BYE :(
Hm I can think of at least 6 times in my life but there are probably more I'm forgetting.
3 were getting up early driving to Cedar Point - staying until close and sometimes after close waiting in line for the dragster then driving all the way home. They always kept the ride open until the last person in line was through. The first time we did this the wait was almost 5 hours because it kept breaking. I always drive back home and my brother drives there cause he cant stay awake. I've been to cedar point maybe 15 times but only the last 3 we went crack of dawn till close. On these drives are the only times I've actually hallucinated while driving like I was driving up roller coasters and stuff that would appear in the corn fields. Very weird stuff. Its just sheer determination that keeps me away since I could have fallen asleep in about 2 seconds if I wanted to.
1 was when I was little at a slumber party type thing where we were playing video games all night on a sega saturn hooked up to what now would be an antique projector. My friend and I went around all night sticking candy corn in peoples noses who feel asleep lol. Mean thing to do but I was a punk sometimes when I was little. Out of my maybe 40 kids (we are like 10 at the time maybe) my friend and I were the only ones to stay up over 24 hours.
The last 2 have been on my flights home. I usually go to bed at about 4-5am somewhere and my flights are always 7:40am so I just stay up. Well the flights are always way late and by the time I end up going to bed its like 28 hours or something.
yah so this one time, my friend jose was like "yo I got some crank holmes!" and I was like "shhhit its like 3 am..." and he was like "I aint chargin holmes" ..
3 and a half days later I woke up half naked, short a shoe and both socks, and with no clue how I ended up on the roof of this seemingly random apartment building.
We have a great breakfast place that opens at 5:00 am and a bar ne3xt door that opens at 6:00 am. I always thought it would be fun to pull an all-nighter drinking and finish it up with breakfast and open the bar.
A couple months ago a few friends and I went to the casino, we were up late and I was sure this would be the night to finish with my plan. Instead, I fell asleep in front of a slot machine at 3:00 in the morning.
I guess I'm gettting too old to do the all-nighter.
I am an architecture student.
Allnighters: been there, done that, alot.
That is all.
