Hi all,
I was just wondering what BB/100 you would expect an average (winning) player to be getting at 100NL/200NL?
I also have a PokerTracker question.
Are the BB/100 stats in Poker Tracker different to what you normally calculate? i.e. at 100Nl 10BB/100 is $10/100. Does Poker Tracker calculate this the same way?

I believe anything around 10BB/100 for any game is pretty good. And in no limit, one BB is a Big Bet, not a big blind. One Big Bet equals 2 big blinds, so in NL100, 10BB/100 would be $20/100.

I am a little confused though as I thought BB was Big Blind at NL and Big Bet at Limit? This threads says the same.

Whats the right terminology for "BB"? and is it different in Poker Tracker as I have seen people using "PT BB/100?

In general around here, anytime someone mentions BB/100, they got this number from Poker Tracker. Poker Tracker defines BB as Big Bet, regardless of limit or no limit. So, while in NL, BB might technically mean Big Blind, it 99% of the time around here is going to refer to Big Bet, especially when its referring to BB/100, but you gotta read the context to distinguish.

So normally BB is going to be 2xBig Blind in any given game, especially when talking about Poker Tracker!

its big bet for winrates but when you talk about a PFR of 3xBB it means Big Blind etc etc.. You really do have to read the context
If everyone just wrote 'ptBB' this problem would be reduced.
BB is not 99% PTBB/100, only when a figure is stated in xx/100.
eg
he was running at -3BB/100 = -3ptBB/100 (bit bets)
But:
he had a tiny 20BB stack so i gambled = he had 20Big blinds.

OP- assuming you are talking about no limit, people always use bb as just big blind, except when talking about winrates in the x/100 format popularized by pokertracker, which uses bb as big bet, which is 2 big blinds.

What I am wondering is what winning players at 100NL-200NL are averaging as ptBB/100(now I know what that means :D ) over a sustained period of time, say 20k hands?
I am nowhere near this level yet but hope I will be in the future if I keep winning. I am just curious what to expect. As it stands at the moment I am at 35ptBB/100 at 10NL over 3K hands, which I know is not sustainable in the long term, especially at the higher stakes, and this is not a large sample size.
Any comments appreciated.

It would obviously differ at different levels. Someone mentioned that you should be very happy not to be a loser, and that's true also.
I'm about 8.5ptBB/100 over my last 10K hands. 12ptBB/100 over my last 3k.
So it varies a lot, and you'll run nice and hot sometimes.
I'm not good enough to crush "high limits" (although those mentioned aren't really considered big limits), but at the really low limits you can average stats like that just camping hands. Doesn't take much.
