Discussion...how many tables do you play simultaneously and at what level, to generate your best profit? I currently play 50/100 NL.
I find 2, sometimes 3, tables of 6-max most profitable (NL100/NL200). Its still only 10-15 other players so good reads are still possible and there seems to be a constant stream of action.
i play 2 tables of NL25
2 table 10NL. I can just about 3 table and get really confused with 4.
I generally play 5-7 6max tables (NL200-600) at a time, and I probably generate my best profit with 5 or 6 at once, though I haven't experimented with playing 3 or less.
4 at 50NL
2 at 100NL
My multi tabling at 100 still sucks bad
sometimes 4 25nls
sometimes 3 50nls
sometimes 2 25nls and 2 50 nls
and the rest of the time 3 25nls and a tourny
I've 6 tabled 25NL full ring when working off a bonus. Thats not too bad for a short time, but I wouldn't do it all the time. I've 4 tabled 50NL full ring also. But my best production comes with 2-3 tables at 25 and 50NL.
Also for some reason my best production is from 6 max. I just prefer full ring. I dont play alot of 6 max though because I dont like having to ante as often, especially when I fold so much. I think this is more a married to my money thing though.
Another funny thing. Sometimes I accidentally sit at PL tables thinking I clicked the NL table. So I will have a couple NL tables open and one PL table, or the other way around. For some reason I have always done really well when this has happened. I play just like playing NL and the only way I find out Im at a PL table is when I try to push or place a big bet and the table will not let me bet more than the pot. Then its like "Crap" what am I doing on this table. But of the few times (10 or so) I've sit at PL tables not knowing it, I've always come away a decent winner.
I play 5 50nl but I would play like 8 if the site hadn't got a limit of 5 tables at once.
Most 100nl I've played is 4.
4 tables 200NL/100NL, sometimes 3 and 1 MTT.
When I get a new cpu, I'll try 5-6, maybe more.
Do you play at fortune? If you don't mind me asking.Quote:

OK...not to hijack my own post, but I'm posing a specific question here because I've started to see a degradation in my play at 4 or more tables.
This actually took me a while to figure out. I only started to see this after I made a resolution during my winter holiday to work on my reads, and I felt I had to play fewer tables to do so. Well, I just killed the tables over break and throughout January, but I made the mistake of starting to play more tables again this month.
So for me, apparently rock-rolling 4-6 tables of $50/100 was not as profitable as being "active" at 3 tables. With 3 tables, I not only had better reads, but I got paid off by being slightly more active. Granted, my variance is probably higher, but apparently, so is my confidence.
Anyway, this post has morphed into a PT question...does anyone know how to quantitatively prove this in PT? In other words, disect performance based on the number of concurrent games?
Go into session stats, check the sessions where you have played 3 tables, check the sessions where you have played 4+ tables.
Your sample size will probably be too small.
Perhaps I'm dense on this, but I don't see how to determine BB/100 for a specific set of concurrent sessions...can you be more specific on how to do so?Quote:

If im playing PartyPoker.. 2 tables of 600 NL full ring and 2 tables of 1000 NL full ring. If im on PokerStars 5 tables of 600 NL full ring.
I've 10 tabled at Party NL25 and B2B NL50 while bored and clearing bonii. At this amount I could only play extremely tight (probably VPIP 8-9%).. at party i managed a 5ptBB/100 profit but at B2B i ran at a measly 0.8ptBB./100. But hey it sure cleared the 800e bonii quick.
For best performace I 4-6 table at NL50. When I try and move to NL100 again Ill probly only 3 table to begin with... I may try 2 tabling but i think this will actually be detrimental to me.
I have to balance the boredom factor with the reads factor, and 3 seems to be my sw33t spot.Quote:
