Well, there's a good chance villain has JJ+ or AK here unless he's a maniac. So unless you spike a set, you're beat.

Now, if you do spike a set, and he has a high pocket pair, you'll probably double up through him. That being said, you have too little money in your stack. You're not getting the odds to call for the set, so fold. Easy answer.

(If the villain will reraise just about any trash from the button, go all in.)

Look at villains stacksize. You have no implied odds here, and most probably you will at best have a coin flip. This is a no-brainer. Easy, easy fold.

any pair below queens should be an easy fold to an 11xbb RE-raise from mid-position--unless these guys are complete maniacs, that is. 25nl tends to be filled w/ ppl that go massively over the top w/ small pps to take down a $2 pot, but still.

personally, i'd put the first raiser on something fairly marginal like a middle pair, middle suited connectors or two face cards, & the reraiser on jacks or queens, since he seems very eager to protect his hand/isolate the initial bettor to heads up. aa or kk would probably reraise to something closer to 4 or 4.50 to get one more caller & extract maximum value on the flop...

either way, @ best you're a flip & @ worst you're drawing to a set when your opponent's chipstack & your own don't justify the roi...

Fold, definitely fold.

The reraise represents strength and your TT is not strong from early position. He probably has a higher pair but even if he has two high cards you are only a marginal favourite and he could spike one on the flop. What would you do if an overcard flopped and you were raised?

With TT, you want to pick the pot up immediately. It is tempting not to raise too much and hope to hit a set, but it is dangerous and you must be wary of overcards - it could cost you a lot of chips or cash.

I would suggest a preflop raise of 5 or even 6 x the bb as opposed to 3. This should drive most players out except the higher pairs and AK. If you are reraised, you will know you are behind and you fold. The only hands which might call you are lower pairs, AK or perhaps a loose player with AQ (AK or AQ might reraise a 3 x bb raise which is why 5 or 6 x bb is better). Anyone calling an UTG raise with AJ is playing too loosely and won't stay alive for long.

A 5 or 6 x bb raise should gather the pot there and then unless your oponent holds a monster, as any decent player will realise that you must have a strong hand to make this raise.

Well, the big problem with raising more than normal with 10s is that a smart player will eventually figure out what you're doing. From early position at 10 player table, I'd be inclined to limp and play for set value or raise standard and hope that I have one caller at most.

Tens are a very vulnerable hand. 60% of the time, the flop will come with overcards. Play them for set value, and raise only if you're in late position and it's been folded to you or you're in late position with a bunch of limpers in front but no raise.

As stated above this is a clear fold, but not only because of the relative stack sizes and the apparent strength shown.

It seems pretty apparent that the poster's "way out" is flopping his set, which he no longer has the right price for.

The short stack in the middle can complicate things a bit and deserves consideration. Without knowing too much about this player, if he's willing to coldcall a UTG raise, what says that he won't push against the reraise? You may end up throwing even more money into a pot where you're drawing slim.

I call this for the additional $4.50, and play for a set. I think if you hit your set on the flop, you can start having him play for a lot of his chips.

I compare you stack size (since he has more than you) with the size of the raise. The raise is less than 10% of your stack, and since the odds of you hitting a set and him not hitting his set (assuming he has higher PP) is greater than this %.. I see a call.

Play for stacks here. If I hit the set, I initiate the betting on the flop. Represent TPTK, and have him raise... try to get in all in on the flop.

I don't see the short stack in the middle complicating things because he he wanted to re-raise a raise, he would have done it on our 6X.
