More big pair calamities

I almsot found a fold here. Bonus whoring at these levels i have a nice edge post flop, meaning getting it all in preflop is just a waste.
Reads on opp is good. Hes a fairly typical player, far too loose to a raise, likes his Ax unsuited preflop to a raise, cant fold his pocket pairs when he min raises preflop pots the flop OOP and gets me pumping in a reraise with top pair. In that sense, this guy BADLY overvalues his hands, especially preflop. His ability to continously call preflop raises with dominated hands is bad.
So, nice simple one. How many of you dont call here?

Why didn't you fold and wait for a better spot? The blinds were still small you had plenty of time.

He can re-buy directly to $25 and if he loses it's just a loan anyway...

Instacall! You said this guy overvalues his hands preflop, so I would call in a heartbeat. If he's that bad of a player, you'll get your money back shortly.

Edit: I don't mind a smooth call preflop since you know you have a big edge in post flop play + position. But isolation is important so I can understand your reraise. Tough luck, but you did put your money in as a favorite.

You think theres a case for a cold call here?
I think even with the flop that gives me trips if i put him in on what he will think is two clean overs, he would probably take it, and for stacks too (this is the typical fish who plays AK like AA/KK)
That was at least one thought before i reraised, at most i thought he had 6 outs going to the flop, which was why i raised to protect, I never once considered myself in a position where i needed to hit a two outer, QQ was always good here. I think i probably expected him to call my reraise which meant on that flop i probably would just have pushed hoping he liked whateva he had far too much.
With KK the trap is so different as opp may only have 3 good outs. Whereas QQ its 6 and i dont like a lot of flops. If AorK hits 50% the time, then here i felt i was taking a 50/50 chance preflop for $4 whereas i thought the reraise would protect those odds. When he pushes i get few options. I actually thought he had TT-QQ, probably JJ and was tying to protect it

Bleh sorry my bad. I just realized that this was 4-handed. Reraising preflop would be standard then. Unless I have a read that villian is a super rock (which in your case he obviously isn't), I'm very happy to get it all in preflop with QQ.

It wasnt that i disagreed with your point i just wondered how often we can let QQ be good if we see this flop. In that scenario guy acting behind me would have called here two he just wanted to be in raised pots with any two and get lucky.
The only time id consider a trap with QQ would be HU or 3 handed in the blinds

Not that I fold this with your read, but if he plays AK like AA/KK - how do you know he does not have AA or KK here? That would mean 2/3 of the time he has the two hands that dominate you and one time he has a hand that you hold a paltry edge over.

r8ed.. keep in mind that AK alone is more likely then AA and KK combined, couple that with the fact that you certainly can't put villain on 8 cards in the deck here...

4 handed and based on your read he does this with 99 and AJ.

I have to say i had no read, but agreeing with the above statements id put opp on 99/TT/JJ and the unlikely QQ not AK/KK/AA. I ctually would have expected him to limp those like the fish he was or big raise KK to protect in which case i'd have just called.
