Overs or Over pair?
New here in ftr land, been reading and taking notes in about everything, one term I just havent got down yet is: overs or Over Pairs, what exactly is this? I see this also in the pot odds, I'm assuming it is 2 pair maybe.
Thanks for any help, this site has given me some major light into the game of Texas Hold em so far...keep up the good work

overpair = a pair HIGHER than any of the community cards.
ex: HERO holds JdJs
Flop= 5c9h7d
By overs, I'm going to guess you mean OVERCARDS [preflop]
ex: HERO holds AsKd
Opponent holds 8s8h
Your two cards [AsKd] are OVERCARDS.
Clear?

What he said, but I guess "overs" can be after the flop (or turn, or river) too, for example AK on a 26J board.

Thanks for the info
thanks for the help, so i'm understanding that 2 overs in the pot odds chart means the 2 pocket cards I'm holding are higher than whats on the table from the flop.

Yes, those are the odds for pairing one of them.

To pair one of your two over cards you have 6 outs, that is apprx. 13% when the next card comes and about 26% from flop to river. Not much I can say.

Overs could be PL in a limit game :D
