At first I thought this was a good laydown, but after a minute I started to feel like this was a really weak play. Thoughts?

Your top set is most likely good here. Even if the BB has a straight, you have lots of outs to pull ahead. I think he most likely has two pair or a pair+straight or flush draw though.

I think it's very weak.

It's more likely that he has a strong drawing hand than he has a made straight. He could have any junk like (2h 7h) or even and you're just going to fold? You're at least a 60%-40% favourite in the hand.

Man that's weak. Even in the off-chance that he's made a straight, you're still only a 65%-35% underdog.
