Playing at Pokerroom.com, there is a player who cashes out all but 25 cents in the 1-2 limit games. He then is all in for the blinds, and then goes to a larger bbuyin once the blinds pass him. I think this is cheating , apparently pokerroom does not. They replied to my emails with an "as long as he meets the minimum buy in, we don't think of it as cheating."

Obviously that is BS and you should be all over pokerroom until they change it. BUT, if they are going to allow it he isn't doing anything wrong.
I don't see how this is cheating. He can only win as much as his 25 cents is called, right?
I'm sure I'm missing something here though, because you seem to be much more irked about it. (ps, I didn't realize you could cash out money while at the table. None of the rooms I play at allow that)
You are missing something, He isn't having the force bet of the normal blinds. He is esentially playing at half the forced cost of the rest of the table.Quote:

Seems like if he misses a bb he'd have to post when he returns with more chips. Why not just check "sit out next hand" until the button passes? He'd have to post then right?
What is the actual amount saved? I'm assuming this is like a regular 1/2 limit game, where the blinds are .50 and 1.00... so he is paying essentially 0.5 BB per orbit instead of the usual 1.5. That would be exactly 1 BB saved per orbit, which at a full table is 10 hands.
Wow, pretty good scam he's got going. Poker Room really ought to fix that. I can't believe you can cash out to that low, or buy in with less than a full big blind... what a crock.
Ah, okay. I was missing something. I thought you meant he dropping down to .25 cents, then walking away after seeing a cheap hand.
Alright, yeah that does seem kinda bogus. However, I would imagine it would only take one pocket pair of aces to change this guy's plan of attack. Going all in on the blinds gaurentees you no return on your monsters. If 1/10 of the chances of you getting aces is removed... I would imagine he's breaking even. Although keep in mind I just made these numbers up.
But I do see how this would be bogus, especially at a table you're playing at.
