Do you guys play these? I think of them as sucker tournaments. I've played a few, knocked some people out and they just rebuy. Kind of frustrating.

This thread will turn to an interesting one.
Many FTR users play rNa's i like them just not bankrolled for them. Who care if they don't get knocked out your still getting chips. It's crazy for the first hour then i find it calms down 28927% more.
I like the rebuy and add on tourneys.....As long as I can make it through the rebuy stage without getting bankrupt. Then it becomes a steal fest, as most of the chip leaders arent neccesarily good players, but lucky floppers. Very seldom do the chip leaders at the end of the rebuy remain in their position for the rest of the tourney. Just wait for your opponents to mess up and not make the transition from rebuy play to freezeout play......
There you go - that's completely correct. Most of the early chip leaders just simply got lucky on the flop. They are often tight/scared players who then loosen up when they have more chips... more willing to call All-in with 22, more likely to play K-9 suited and then chase until they lost half their stack.
Also, I like re-buys on big tournaments because if some fish takes me out, or I suffer a huge bad beat, or take a coin flip and miss, its comforting to know I still have a chance at getting my revenuge
I like to camp during the first hour. I find that I can usually end up with and average stack after the R/A period ends, and I only put $20 into an $11+r usually. This is good because the avg person puts about $40-$50 with all the rebuy's and add-ons. I only rebuy if I got sucked out and there is a crazy guy at my table willing to call with anything.
I play R+A's on the contrary to dsaxton.
I basically go all in every hand until I double up, usually takes minimum 1 attempt and maximum 10 attempts. Then I get a little tighter, with a smaller pushing range, looking to build my stack again. I aim for 10k in chips by the break, and I reach it most times.
That, I believe, is the only way to play for you to have a great chance of making some serious cash every time (unless you catch some crazy lucky cards).
How about everyone else?
I've played a few R&A's on Party recently, and noticed you can rebuy while you're all in before the hand is over. So it's possible to get a big lead early by repeatedly going all-in and rebuying - and if you win a few hands, your chip stack will skyrocket.

I enjoy playing RnA's. I look for the opportunity to double up early and then let other people duke it out during the rebuy period. Just remember the real tournament doesn't start till after the rebuy ends. On Poker Stars, I like the 25k grnty rebuy for $10+1. The rebuys and add on are only $10 and you only pay $1 in fees. I look at it as a tourney that will cost me $31, $51 or $71 to get in. Just keep in mind, the more you buy in, the further you have to get in the money to make a profit.
Yep, it's madness that first hour... you love TPTK because people will move with TP no K, second pair + an over, any draw, etc etc etc.... but you hate TPTK because you see a lot of random two pair hands and sets are more likely with the deep stacks.
After that, though, the extra chips in play make for more poker before the AI fest begins.
