About my BR

I started playing at this site after coming in 3rd at a freeroll and winning $32. I started playing some $10 NL (smaller they have and its freeroll money anyway) and $3+0.3 sngs. I made that quickly to over $150 moving up to $5+0.5 sngs. Then it went to over $250 where I started playing $10 sngs and $25 NL. I had put a goal for $400 before end of may 2005 (really optimistic when you start with $32). A couple of good sessions later and a really good one yesterday its not up to $535. This all happen in about half a month or lets say 13-15 sessions. Now I put a goal of another $500 before the end of the next month.

What do you think of this goal? is it fisible at the these stakes (although I havent played much to be sure, I really feel the guys at the $25NL (5 handed) are throwing their money at me and I have a very good ROI at the $10 sngs plus 4 FT at $5 or $10 MTTs with 100 people or so, although I always come like 5th and havent won much).

I think I will definetely move up to $20 sngs (I am almost bankrolled for $50s acording to guideline posted here) but I will probably stay at $25 Nl for a little while (I think 30 buy-ins is suggested for NL ring)

If you play the shorthanded Party Poker $25NL, you will cruise to $1k if you have half a brain cell for poker. That is where all the loose action is on Party Poker these days.

You are decently bankrolled for the $20 SnGs also, so it's all looking good from here.

Just wanted to post my progress.

I moved up to $20 SnS and $50 NL. I had a bad session at $50 NL which cost me $120 and I was a little shaken so I decided to drop to $25 again just because I feel really comfortable there. At the $20s I am doing really good (although I have played like 10 so far).

I reabuild my losses in one session and today I sat down at this 5-max table that was full o morons willing to go all-in or even call all-in on TPTK/flush draws/OESD where I sat down with $20 and left with $165 :P.

So my BR is up to $700 now, tnx FTR!

Leave $200 or so in whatever site you're playing, and get $500 to neteller for bonus whoring. It's not hard to pick up an extra $100/wk or more in bonuses.

A little progress report:

It's been a while and things are going pretty good.

I made my BR at $2,200 and made my first cashout of 1,000 euro (that is around $1250) 2 weeks ago.

Now I have almost $4K in my account and gonna cash out again in a few days leaving around $1000 again as BR.

I am playing NL $100 now with some $200 mixed in now that I have the BR for it. Also some $20-$30 MTTs (scored a couple of wins last week for about 1K in winnings).

I dont put goals as far as $$ won goes anymore. I am just gonna be cashing out every 2 weeks or so, always leaving $1K as a BR. I have no intention of moving up yet (it all happened really fast!), just hope that I can keep this up.

Just a fair warning, the skill level beyond 100 nl ring goes up real fast (at least on Party). 100 NL is still pretty easy, pretty similiar to 25 NL just camp and destack the fish. 400 NL is a completely different game (though not high enough up to see the true LAG sharks like Rippy), there are only TAG sharks there and its sort of like a chess match. 200 NL is halfway in between these two.

So good choice about not moving too fast, just build your bankroll up really high before moving up to the next levels.

That's a heck of a jump bro. Nice work. But don't get a big head. One day your $1000 BR can go "bye-bye" just because the cards fall the wrong way. Stick to your comfortable limits and you will be fine.

Thanks guys. I know I cant just step up at any level cause I have the BR for it. But you cant really keep playing $50 with 80 buy-ins...

I've noticed no diffirence at the $100 tables, and its usually the same players there as in $50 (I mean actually the same players).

I play $200 one or two tables (or 2-3 100s and one 200) only till I cash out again. Main diffirence I noticed is that there's not so much "destacking" at $200, people are not so eager to put all their chips in. (although I had a guy think his top 2 pair was the nuts and push $150 into a $40 pot into my set). I mostly win my money there "little-by little" not camping and destacking. Also only 2-3 people at the table usually have me covered (never lost a buy-in in single hand on $200 yet, I am actually seeing less swings than $100 where I would ocasionally lose a buy-in and also double up once or twice) And of course I try not to get involved with the classic "$500 guy" at the table, unless its him doubling me up.

How do you bonus whore?

Move your bankroll around the different poker sites to get the new player sign up bonus they offer. You can get lots of cash, but some of them need a large amount of raked hands to clear, so check that out before you deposit.

Won't you run out of sites to sign up to? or can you use some bonuses more then once?

There are tons of different sites, so it will take you a while to get round them all anyway. But many offer "Reload" bonuses, say 25% of your deposit up to $100 dollars. Interpoker does this every month
