[ ] Excited than I can see the next card after the hand is over (some kind of rabbit name)

[ ] Note taking (What happened to all my notes? Wait, they do me no good as I don't know who the hell I'm playing except that he's at seat 4.)

[X] Looking for another site for US players

[X] Won 1st place in a SNG and 1/2 a BI in cash game before getting pissed at the interface and quiting

[X] Actually don't mind the anon aspect

[X] Cant choose seating position

[X] Avg 15-20 hands/hr @ 6max plo (painfully slow!!!)

[X] Unplayable if some bugs arent worked out

Dunno about merge bit can say cake is basically the same shit so if you're looking I'd advise you to look elsewhere.

Friiggin HUD doesn't even work with seating preferences so player 4 stats aren't even player 4. Upside is tha games are so soft you don't even need a HUD.

Sent this to Bodog CS:

Your new software is worse by far than the old software. I will be leaving Bodog as soon as I find another site to play on.

Here are the reasons why:

1. Many lost connections during both cash and SNG games, which only happened occasionally before

2. The anonomous player idea is horrible. The "equal playing field" idea is absurd. When you play at a live casino, you try your best to get reads on opponents and exploit their tendencies. With the current software, it's hard to tell when player 2 leaves and a different player 2 arrives at the table or did player 2 just reload?.

3. The lack of note taking ability in the new software is absolutely rediculous.

-4. When you log on to the software, your preferences should be saved from the last login. To have to customize the cash games for only the type of games you want to play EVERY time you log in is rediculous. The software should save your table preferences.

5. The auto fold button does not work most of the time. You click it at the start of the hand and by the time the table gets around to you it is un checked. What's the point of having it?

6. If you click the "fold to any bet" button, your time bank appears for some reason.

7. I started off unclicking the card animation as that is how I usually play. I did not even have buttons displayed on the table (i.e., bet, fold , or the slider). This prevented me from even playing is the first few tables that I was in (one SNG and two cash games)

8. If I am forced to be a number at the table, at least have my position consistant for every table like the previous software (i.e., at the bottom of the table at all tables). At least if my screen name was there I could find my position easier.

9. If you are in a hand and top off you stack in case of losing the hand and you actually win the hand the software says something about having the max for the table and you can no longer add chips regardless of your stack size. The rebuy chips button is greyed out.

There are many more problems with the software that I have heard. These are just the ones that I have experienced.

I got the expected "Blah, Blah, Blah" reply.

Can't even log in today, classy.

Most sites, unlike Pokerstars are not designed by players. I know that most guys can't choose where they play now, so your kind of stuck. Back in the day, there were many real bad sites witha ton of brutal software and skins. We would play them cause we had to, there was just too much money to be made in the bonus's and rewards.

As it is now, because you have to play at these brutal sites, do everything you can to make the game playable. Check 2P2, ask here, and search the web for answers to questions for AHK scripts, skins and anything else to make the game playable. Whatever you do, don't spend all your time comparing the software of these sites to Pokerstars or the old Full Tilt. It's like comparing your new wife to that freaky chick from college that let you fuck her friends, her ass and even blew you in front of everyone at the party. Your new wife will always pale in comparison. she is what she is, make the best of it.

I was looking at some forums, came across p2p. I couldn't get much of an idea as to why Bodog wasn't letting me log in. I did hear a lot of people talking about withdraws and all that, so I'm assuming the servers might have been limiting the number of people logging in.

I didn't spend too much time on the forum, downloaded Carbon and played around a little, such a better experience right off the bat.

I haven't checked p2p in a few hours, any news on the logging in issue with bodog today?

If Bodog is my new wife then the divorce papers have been filed, her shit is in the trash, and the freaky chick is on her way over.

I expect that before chosing Carbon, Jason performed trade studies on:

RB comparisons
Player profiles by age, race, shoe size, etc.
mouse-click lag time
overlap percentages on stacked tables
Click-error rates due to buttons in close proximity
Eye strain difficulties from skin colors
etc.

Heh ... I haven't done in depth studies ... yet . Carbon looked like the best interface at a glance compared to the other ones. I have rakeback with them, so that's the main reason I'm going to play there versus another Merge skin. I feel reasonably confident that the Merge network is the best one compared to BoDog, Cake, or anything else, but I have rakeback at Cake, too, if a switch seems necessary.

Can you guys play in your afternoons.? If you can check out everleaf and play on the euro tables against the italians. They are absolutely terrible ,shove with air , stats are regularly 60+/10- and there are sites you can get 100$ bonus instantly or another where you get 12 months to clear te bonus. Once the italians have gone to bed though I guess you'll be back down to playing the american regs so its not as attractive. Oh and you can datamine there as well.just leave HEM running and it keeps on importoing all the hands.

Everleaf have just imposed a restriction as well so that you are unable to play the euro tables (italians) if you win more the 750 euros in a week.

On minted , wach out for the inter account transfer option for funding accounts . When i staked someone it was 1% to clear before you can cashout , its now been changed so that you have to clear 100% of the transfer in points before you can withdraw.

That's good to know, but I'm VERY skeptical of any site that limits your winnings. It's extremely shady in my opinion and probably indicative of liquidity problems.

Unfortunately , DOJ's actions have forced US players to have to embrace high risk in order to continue to play online. EVerleaff is regulated in malta and from what i could gather the licence requires them to keep players funds seperate ( don't quote me on that and check it yourself before relying on it). The grey area was that I couldn't find out if they were just seperated or seperated and protected. The latter puts them in a pokerstars type regime, the former means that the DOJ can seize accounts.
from threads on 2+2 ,I think the winnings limit was put in by the italian sportsbooks who dbrought the fish to the network wanting their cut of the rake several times as the money churned rather than it being removed from the potential income stream by the good players.

I hear what you're saying and agree to an extent, but limiting winnings just seems like too much of a red flag to ignore. I'm never saying never, but I'd have to do some soul searching before I was able to justify that to myself. I mean, the object of poker is to win. Whether you're a fish or a shark or good or bad, EVERYONE plays because they want to win and that should be encouraged. So, to put a cap on that fundamental concept seems just too shady for me personally to ignore.

The other problem for me personally is that I would prefer to play at higher limits but definitely don't want to deposit high enough to play there immediately, so I want to build it up on the site. This can easily be done by any player who can beat the games but it does take longer than if I just put the money there, so I don't want to dilute my efforts and prevent the bankroll from building longer than it should by playing more than one site.

Again, that's my personal choice and situation, but I'm definitely glad there are some sites out there to play on at the moment and one never knows what today's poker landscape will look like tomorrow.

First cashout from Bodog/Bovada took almost 6 weeks to arrive via Fedex. After 4 weeks I called customer service and with a .lv extension you can imagine who I talked to. It had to be "Peggy" and the excuse was the holidays. Got check 2 weeks later.

Made final cashout on Jan 3. Still waiting...
