    Exclamation bwin Poker

    Hi,

Feel free to post any questions or comments about bwin poker and I will try to reply to you as quickly and accurate as possible.

Also, I would like to ask if you (the forum users) are interested in setting up another exclusive tournament at bwin? If so, let's discuss tournament type, structure etc so I can help you set up the best possible tourney.

    Cheers,

    James

I am not trying to lure any of you away from playing that one..don't get me wrong But if there is interest of setting up another type of tournament I can probably make it happen. Please suggest game type, how much added money you would like to have, tournament type, structure etc.

    bwin News:

bwin launches live betting app for iPhone

bwin has now launched the "bwin live"-app for Iphone. With this you can bet on sports such as football, tennis, Formula 1, American football or Ice Hockey from your phone.

"Thanks to bwin live, bwin customers now get to place bets on their iPhone using an intuitive user interface, check on the status of the bets they have placed, and retrieve a detailed list of their bets", explains Berthold Kao who is in charge of Product Management RNG & Mobile at bwin.

The application is now availible in the iTunes Store for Great Britain and Austria with other countries to follow this year. The same app is planned to be availible for Android users next year.

For online games such as [follow=https://poker.bwin.com/poker.aspx?content=texasholdem]Texas Holdem[/follow], Omaha, Blackjack, Roulette and Skill Games, bwin has already launched web applications for Iphone and Android users.

Kao says: "For a long time now, bwin has been committed to mobile products for betting, poker, casino and games. With the new web applications for the popular smartphone platforms Android and iOS we want to give the growing number of bwin customers with smartphones the option of making optimal mobile use of the bwin product range, as well."

Hey, here are the latest [Follow="https://poker.bwin.com/"]online poker[/Follow] news from bwin:

Last week bwin and PartyGaming presented the details on the merger. Here are some quotes from press release along with my own personal comments:

    Brands to be retained

“The online gaming industry is going through a phase of consolidation, making market players’ size and geographic diversification more crucial than ever,” explains Norbert Teufelberger, Co-CEO of bwin. The new company will operate worldwide with its existing brands under the name of bwin.party digital entertainment plc, in which current bwin shareholders are expected to hold 51.7 per cent of the shares and current PartyGaming shareholders 48.3 per cent. “Our products and target markets complement one another perfectly, and we can continue to expand our technology lead in all key product segments: sports betting, poker, casino, bingo and games,” according to Teufelberger.

Comment: Still, as far as I know, no decision has been made regarding poker clients etc. (I suspect this question will keep coming)  There is still A LOT to be done before the merger is practically completed.

bwin.party digital entertainment will be the world’s largest publicly listed online gaming provider.

The merger plan presented by bwin Interactive Entertainment AG and PartyGaming Plc will create the world's largest publicly listed online gaming group – a group that will be ideally positioned to take advantage of the rapid consolidation of the online gaming industry and to open up new markets around the world.

Comment: It’s clearly beneficial to be a big company when pushing into new markets. I expect bwin.party to be one of the first brands in each new market that will open up.

Strong capital structure and customer liquidity

Like PartyGaming in the past, bwin.party will have its headquarters in Gibraltar and be listed on the London Stock Exchange. Besides a clear focus on B2C products, the company will also steadily expand its B2B and B2G business. “Our many years of online know-how, healthy balance sheet, and one of the largest pools of poker liquidity in any regulated market will make us an attractive business partner,” clarifies Teufelberger, who will head up the company as Co-CEO together with Jim Ryan, PartyGaming’s current CEO. The business operations of bwin in Austria will be retained, where a newly founded subsidiary, bwin Services AG will support selected areas of the group in Vienna.

Default Play Real Money Poker on your iPhone!

The first real money poker app for the iPhone is now being released by bwin. The app is available now in the App Stores UK and Austria with more countries to follow soon. “Thanks to the bwin iPhone poker app, our customers can, for the first time ever, show what they've got in the world's biggest poker network via the popular iPhone platform,” explains Berthold Kao, who is in charge of Product Management RNG & Mobile at bwin.

The bwin iPhone poker app offers new possibilities for poker enthusiasts. With a combination of the most popular poker game of all, [Follow="https://www.bwin.com/texas-holdem-poker"]Texas Holdem[/Follow], an intuitive user interface, countless features and easy registration this brings excitement and fun to the mobile world. The optimized game design allows easy navigation and a clear image. For example; a player's best hand is displayed automatically and hand histories from the current session are displayed at a touch.

“With the iPhone poker app, we continue to extend our lead in the mobile entertainment sector. Together with the bwin live app and Casino for iPhone, we now offer our customers a complete portfolio,” Kao concludes.

Default New Games availible for Android Phones

As you may know, bwin has also launched a poker app for Android Phones. It's a fresh design unlike the ongame skin. You can play [Follow="https://www.bwin.com/texas-holdem-poker"]Texas Holdem games[/Follow] online vs other players on the network.

Most [Follow="https://casino.bwin.com/"]casino games[/Follow] are also availible for phones or iPad's although not as an app but as a browser game.

Let me know if you have any questions!

If you have a bonus connected to your bwin account it's valid regardless if you're playing on your computer or your phone. As far as I know bwin does not offer rake back.

Bwin needs to offer a real first deposit bonus and something comparable to rakeback in their points system. Once the merge happens with Party Poker I will be leaving Ongame and moving back to Party since I do have a decent points deal there. When I first heard of them leaving Ongame I made an account but have yet to find a decent reason financially to leave Betfair.

That said, if I have a decent deposit bonus and ongoing points system to complete before they do merge, I would be willing to move now and play from the Bwin client before and after the changes.

    1. Have you heard about their b'inside program?

    2. Can't you find a good first deposit bonus through an affiliate site/bonus site?

    JamesJ,

What's going on here? Alarming News about Botting at Ongame - Medium Stakes Pot Limit and No Limit - Medium Stakes Poker Forum

Why are the players catching the bots before you guys do? They don't have nearly the same data to work with as the sites do. I would assume this is because you guys don't really care since in your eyes these are simply players generating rake for you. Is no one looking at the big picture and realizing how soon your games will be destroyed because of this?

It's amazing that PokerStars doesn't have all the players since they're the only ones that seen to bother to take preventative measures for this kind of thing.

I've been following the botting thing pretty closely for a couple weeks now and can honestly say that I'm leaving Ongame myself since I can't trust that if these bots are winning at $5/$10 then how many are sucking money from $200NL and down where there are way more tables and worse players.

Also Gala, as far as Rake is concerned, they are taking way more money out of the site from weaker players than Ongame would make in rake if the fishier players sat and exchanged the money back and forth. Withdrawals by bots playing 100's of thousands of hands a month cost Ongame tons of money.

    Moving to Stars real soon.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant by looking at the big picture. These rooms just must figure they're no different than another winning reg. But that's not what's happening and these places will get wiped out sooner than they realize.

It blows me away how nearly every single site has allowed it to get this far. Stars seems to be the only site run by actual business people while everyone else is just a bunch of guys that had some capital free a few years ago to jump in on a booming industry.

Ya, either they are not smart enough to understand how the economy works via deposits turned into rake or they are somehow involved. I don't see how any other explanation can be. They'd have to be morons not to know that these are bots and the players have figured it out.

glad you posted that link, and hopefully James can pass that info along to their security dept and Ongame as well.
