    Default bonuses, i need help

hey guys, i was wondering if you could help me out with the bonuses with signing up on different poker sites. I got one with partypoker, pokerroom, and ultimate bet.com, what other sites are good quality sites where i can get a bonus on my deposit. Also how can you get additonal bonuses on the same sites where you already used your first time user bonus. thanks

For frequent bonuses, I'd recommend Absolute Poker. They offer a bonus just about every weekend.

Admins, that's the FTR link in case you're wondering.

    Koolmoe You play 6max right?
How is the 6max game at absolute?

I kept avoiding absolute because of hte lack of full tables, but now that I'm hooked on 6max absolute seems like a likely shot for me.

Any tips on playing at absolute?

I believe it comes down to "withdraw on mon/tuesday to be ready for the weekend deposit bonuses?

I don't play at Absolute for a variety of reasons anymore, and when I played there I rarely played 6-max. I am now at a Party affiliate because (in no particular order):

    1. Softer games.
    2. Poker Tracker auto-import and data mining.
    3. Softer games.
    4. I am actually able to get reconnected if I have a blip in my internet connection (I have to close the table and reopen it at AP, and by the time I realize what's happened, I'm usually booted from the table).
    5. Softer games.
    6. AP tables don't play nice with other tables. I can't explain exactly what I mean here, but I just know I get aggravated with the Absolute table demanding my attention when I need to act on another site's table. I have similar problems with Pokerroom tables.
    7. Softer games.

I think Absolute is a great place to play if you are playing relatively low limits, since you can amass a lot of $0.25 raked hands at 1/2 or even .5/1, and the $10/100 raked hands bonus amounts to almost 5 or 10 BB/100 hands at those levels, so it's huge +EV. Once you get up to 5/10, it's only 1 BB/100, so the softness of the game starts to play a big role. Over 15K hands at AP, my earn rate was over 1 BB/100 lower at AP than it has been over 10K hands at Party. <edit> I know this is hardly statistically significant, but it agrees with the general feeling I have had playing at the two sites. </edit>

I think Absolute is the best site for NL, because of the blinds to buy-in ratio. You can play a lot tighter there than you can at Party.

the smaller population of absolute means you'll run into familar faces over and over. at the 6max 1/2 limits i play there, the best time to play is late like 2am 3am. all the crazy people come and you can get 70% plrs/flop!

other times it can tighten up to be 30% in 6max!

average pot sizes rarely get over 15. most of the time it's less than 10. so if you want loose players with pots >15 your best bet is still with party.

the full tables are full of tight passives.

Be careful with your withdrawals, because (1) you cannot withdraw during the deposit period and (2) they determine the withdrawal time by the time they approve it, not by the time you request it. You should try to have the $1340 out of Absolute and in Neteller at least a day before the bonus, and I used to shoot for Wednesday or Thursday. Most bonuses start either Thursday or Friday night and consist of two 24 hr deposit periods in which you can collect up to $100 bonus each period by depositing $1000 each period (or $667 if you use Neteller).

I still play at Absolute once in a while, playing the 1/2 6-max tables and play strictly for the purpose of clearing bonus $. I consider it recreational play and have fun with it, often correcting tilt. It's pretty funny to see the weak-tighties run from aggression, so I LAgg it up a lot.

Default You will never get your deposit bonus from Absolute Poker

I put in an initial deposit with Absolute Poker since they sent me an email offering an 200% bonous deposit up to $200. I figured, what the heck, I will deposit $50 and get $100 free money to play with. NO, thank god I didn't do the $100 I initially thought about. You don't get the $100 bonus, it goes into an account and you have to spend a lot more than the initial $50 I deposited to get it out.

I blew the $50 in 2 days and was amazed to find out my $100 was in a special account to which I only get in $10 increments at a time after I build up 100 points. Well, my $50 gave me 8 points. After SEVERAL emails, I'm told only the pots that are at least $10 will give me 1 measly little point towards the 1,000 points I need to get my $100 out of this special place. Or, I was told, I can play at the $10 tournament tables to accumlate 1 point for each tournament. Add it up, that's $1,000 I have to spend to get my "free" $100 bonus. I don't think so - keep my $50 and I will never play your site again!

Nowhere does it state that you have to play a $10 pot for a point. It does state the points will be rounded up to the nearest point, so why didn't I receive 1 point for each game I played in??? Many of the pots were at least $5 at the 25/50 cent table so I think that 1/2 point should have been rounded up as the statement states.

Anybody know of a lawsuit against this company, please sign me up!

    Sappa,
The terms and conditions on Absolute website are very clear...

1 point will be awarded for each raked game (minimum rake of $0.50) you play.
1 point will be awarded for each $1 of tournament buy-in fee. (Awarded upon tournament start.)
At 100 points we will transfer $10 from your Pending Bonus Credit account to your cash account.
The rake requirement has recently changed from 0.25 to 0.50 so it will be pretty slow to clear below 2/4 LHE. There are many other bonuses that will clear much quicker at low limits. some examples that will clear quickly at 1/2 LHE.

    Poker Plex
    Bet365

No, actually they are not clear as to the rules. Why not just say in the rules, the pot must equal a minimum of $10 to receive 1 point??? And you need 100 points to get $10 of your "bonus" money. That to me is clear.

I initially called the company and was told the minimum pot had to be $5 to receive 1 point. After spending much time trying to figure out why my points are still not adding up, I emailed and learned they changed the rules and now the pots must be $10 to receive 1 measly point out of 1000 that I need to accumulate to get my "bonus money." What a rip off. I did something similar with paradise poker and had absolutely no problems with them.

AVOID ABSOLUTE POKER!!!! Still waiting for that email to get a lawsuit going!

They cannot say that a $10 pot will give you 1 point as that is not a true statement. If you play at limits 5/10 and above a $10 pot will not be raked and will therefore not earn any points. That is why they state a minimum rake and not a minimum pot.

It seems that you have been unfortunate, signing up for Absolute just before they increased the rake requirement from 0.25 to 0.50. I agree entirely that this sucks, but there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Absolute Poker reserves the right to change, modify or cancel any promotion at its discretion.
