Global Poker Index Ranks Lim and Rossiter and other Australian players.

The Global Poker index (GPI) is a ranking system which factors in performance, events and total winnings along with many more related statistics to create a ranking of the best performing pokers players currently playing on the tours. Its flagship format is the GPI 300 which lists the best 300 players in the world, the list everyone wants to be a part of, which currently features six Australian players.

Following an impressive 2013 already it is not surprising that Aaron Lim is the highest ranked Australian on the GPI at number 49. Lim has claimed over US$ 680,000 this year which includes becoming the first WSOP bracelet winner, winning APPT Seoul and finishing runner-up in the high roller EPT Berlin.

Jeff Rossiter is the second ranked Australian on the GPI sitting at number 83 who has followed up his impressive 2012 with another great year appearing on the Aussie Millions and multiple EPT final tables this year.

The GPI 300 only houses four more Australians with Brendon Rubie (99), Jonathan Maramalikis (151), Grant Levy (191) and David Stiecke (251) but with massive events still to come in Macau and the WSOP we could see these players move up and players like Daniel Neilson, Joe Hachem, Daniel Laidlaw and Jackie Glazier all enter into the GPI 300.
