Default Amaya HQ Raided by Canadian Authorities

This is a massive news story at the moment.

There are no rumors circulating at this time that this raid had anything to do with the company's online poker operations (i.e. allocation of player funds, etc). It appears that the raid is linked to stock market financial transactions.

Let's just hope that it is just because of stock market financial transactions. It is weard that this happens only a few months after Amaya takes control of PS.

It was bad for poker and players, especially Pokerstars and Pokerstars users, if this company gets involved in any scandall specially if it envolves the Poker operations.

    Let's see what happens!

It's based on the trading of stock and transactions leading up to the sale. It's nothing to do with poker. They just want to catch the people that made a shitload inside trading

I believe this has to do with insider trading. I don't think this will impact pokerstars players.

This is being discussed on twitter. Forbes backed off some of the earlier language and they're now calling it more of an investigation than a raid. Like jyms said, it seems to be about insider trading and not poker.
