    Default 4 betting frm BU

    Villain is a semi-aware 17/15 with 7% 3b and 80%ft3b over like 250

I didnt bet the flop cause i wasnt trying to get c/r'ed but maybe its best to just cbet and shove if i get c/r'ed?

idk whats up with his 3b sizing..we dont really have any history

    Turn?

    River?

Without knowing much about you or your villain, given that you 4 bet pre it does feel a little bit like c/r the flop for him is a little like trying to make AA/KK fold.. which is fairly insane.. and the board is fairly draw heavy, so a semi aware player is looking to get out cheap vs a big pair, of bet to protect his hand if he's done this with 55/88/JJ..

i think if you bet the flop you probably make a decent percentage of his better hands fold.. if he does checkraise you can shove with outs.. which is all better than passively hoping to hit a flush, a low one at that which might get coolered by AK, AQ spades here.

yeah idk why i didnt just cbet.
annoyed at myself looking back at this..
im IP ffs. i can check back alot of turns that dont improve our hand and if he does c/r the flop im doing fairly well vs his over pairs and better against his nut draws or w/e

Please tell me what rationale you used for 4B'ing this hand preflop

the table was short handed, id been opening alot, BB had 3b me once on this table over the few hands id been there. I know he 3bets light so i figured his range is real wide for 3bing in this spot so thought a 4b could take it down fairly often.. i know our hands pretty weak and doesnt have blockers to his nut hands... and when we do hit we can be vulnerable still or crushed

so for those last two points..kinda fail i suppose.

would you prefer just flatting pre like almost always due to his sizing?

Your equity on the flop is ridiculous so just bet.

You really don't want to 4b this. you get over 4:1 on a call and you have a hand that is very playable IP. On the flop you have like 60% equity against the most pessimistic range so idk why you would ever check there.

    yes

You get over 4:1 on a call and you have a hand that is very playable IP. when you 4b you have shit equity when called and can't continue to a ship, so you need tons of fold equity.

If his 3b range is really wide and he c-bets too much, then you can just raise him on the flop with any part. That should be more effective.
