Prediction. Most of these registrations don't make it to week 3 because none of them are here for anything but the free money. Going to be hard to contribute to FTR for 12 weeks.

That said, I welcome any and all of them if they do, I would love everyone of them to start posting in the strat forums and they would get far better to not need to chase the free money.

Damn, just looked carefully at the schedule and saw that 1/2 the games are Wednesdays at 4 edt. This is probably a killer for me unless the games are short. How long does one of these tourneys take?

A couple hours. We do that for the Euro's. That is why we have a Sunday game as well. You only need to count your 10 best placings, so if you can't make most Wednesdays don't sweat it. Make the Sunday games

It will be a long day going through all of these names tomorrow and deleting all of the ones that didn't post here. And then every week doing it again and again for the ones that are posted here but haven't posted since.

Isn't it easier to make it so that only people with 30+ posts can join the home game club and people who reach that target are then eligible to play for the rest of the season. People only play when they are participating then ...rather than having to check each week who isn't participating.

I personally don't want to play in a league where a bunch of people missed out on the beginning because they were off playing real poker in real places for real life changing money.

IamSavy hit's it on the head, do you really want to play against 4 or 5 people all season? We aren't restarting the tourney because of the low turn out for one game but because there was a mix up on both the Social media, Calendar and other communications behind the scenes.

I deleted everyone in the group that hasn't registered their name here. Also, if you register and don't play (sit out) You will not receive any points for that tourney.

If you had your name added long before you posted here your name here you might have been deleted from the group once. You will need to add it to the 2014 gauntlet home game group.

hmmmmm wonder if my number of posts had anything to do with learning strategy to build a stack seven times yours......although KK vs 55 as chip leader on a K5x flop against second or third guy in chips did help.

    Suggestion for points scoring jyms.
    Proportional to field size and position 1st place =25 points 2nd 20point 3rd 15points 4th 10point 5th 5 points so for example 42 player field means 1st =42 + 25 total 67 , 2=41+20 total 61 ect so top five get extra points.
Plus bounty of 10 points for knocking out last weeks winner.

just a suggestion hope it makes sense.

I'm a little fuzzy on this. I post a lot in the OFC forum, but not in any other forum. Do the rules of this gauntlet require players to post in the tournament poker forum, or just any FTR forum? How many posts per week are required?

    Thanks!

i think jyms is refering to the guys with 3 posts in 3 years who suddenly wanted to play the gauntlet just because there is money added this season. From what i've read you're one of the leading strat posters in the ofc forum and i certainly learn a lot from your posts there .

ya Pi, you are not one of the ones I was referring too. I know who everyone is on this forum and what they post about and where. The OFC forum regs are great in my book and free to do as they please. Keith knows I am talking about the freetrollers that have no clue where or what FTR is, they just look for freebies. They have no plan to post here except for free stuff.

Anyone registered for the Gauntlet game 2 and fails to play a hand will be eliminated from the home group if you have not posted on FTR since registering in this thread.

We have 32 registered to play. Please post in this thread if someone is a no show and blinds out

I will only say this one time. Do not register if you are not going to play. I don't care that you were going to, you intended to or you hoped to.

Register and play, DO NOT PRE-REGISTER! We are not going to turn every event into an hour and a half of waiting for 1/4 of the field to blind out.

Warnings are out right now for

    Hoopy
    Eberreta
    chip_eater

and Dneureuter almost didn't make it but showed up an hour in.

I will be deleting from the gauntlet

    45oul
    hcd4stars
    JOHN_EVR_PT
    PokerChild K
    purtudelko
    soutyn
    Springbok73
    suerteking

if you register and no show again and fail to start posting more on FTR. No excuses.

All I am saying, since we had at least 8 or 9 people sitting out and one showed up an hour in, is that Do Not Register in advanced. I put the games in the home game lobby early because I may not be around later to do it. It is not so you can register early and not show. If I see a bunch of people preregistering I may just unregister them and maybe even suspend them form the tourney. Wait until 2 or 3 pm before the game to register

PokerchildK and Purtudelko were 2 of 4 that registered for both tourneys again after repeated warnings and have been removed from the Gauntlet. The other two showed up last game but I removed them from Registration. I won't hesitate to pull the trigger on more players if they register early.

If you aren't coming to FTR to see these warnings before Wednesdays game then I have no choice, you aren't going to play.

I just preregistrered in an attempt to not forget about it, but I unregistered when I saw this thread because I might still forget.

Cheers for the email reminder link gmml, but I check my emails very rarely so that's no use to me. I'll make most games, and I'll avoid preregistering unless I know I'll be at my comp with stars open when the game starts.

It is a shame numbers are dropping as these type of events give players such as myself an indication of our ability. I appreciate what some of the forum members are doing by playing this event as I do not often have chance to play with such high calibre of opposition on regular basis.
Better try a little harder tomorrow night and aim for top 6 place finish from now onwards.
    Looking forward to tomorrow's game
