Structure: 5k starting chips, 5 minute blinds
Late reg: 10 minutes

The 2nd game will use a slightly different structure, starting off deeper but with faster blind levels!

The game can be accessed through the Home Game group only.

It's automated and takes your forum username from other seasons you've played before. I'll have to find out how to edit the backend and get it changed.

I have no idea how good you are at poker, although thanks for the laugh. As has been talked about a lot and as I told you by PM, this league is for the FTR community to say thank you for their contributions. If you want to join the league, you'll have to show that you're a member who actually wants to contribute rather than just take advantage of the free prize pool. I gave you some tips via PM (and you even agreed with them!) but you haven't done any of that.

Someone mentioned in the chat that sitters shouldn't receive points for the games they play, and I agree with this. Can the points be manually adjusted to reflect sitting out?

this weeks structure was awesome, i think better than last weeks, is there anyway we can get 10k stacks because that would be the nut structure then

Could give 10k chips a try and see how long it takes. Today was definitely better than last week.

10K is too much, more than 2 hours is a fairly big commitment and not at all what I had in mind, as I'm sure others would agree. Remember we are running tight up to some Euros' bedtimes as is.

I think everyone should be bumped up. Those lower places took time to show up but didn't get many points because they got knocked out early, don't further penalize them with an even lower place because someone registered and failed to show up.

5k starting chips was good. nobody wants 4 hour mtt. that would mean 12 or even 1 am finishing

OK, from this Sunday anyone who sits in but doesn't play a single hand will be removed from the rankings and everyone bumped up a place. They'll count as a non-runner so if there are 24 entries and 3 sit-outs it'll be entered as a 21 runner tournament.

As for the structure, I wish there was a 7.5k option as I think that would be the best middle ground. These are the options I see in the client:

Blind levels: 3, 5, 10, 15, 20
Starting: 1k, 1.5k, 2k, 3k, 5k, 10k, 20k

If we double the chips and the tournament takes twice as long, that'll be going to midnight in the UK and 8 of the 22 players last week were UK players along with 1 European (1 hour ahead of UK). The only other option I could see which might work would be 10k starting with 3 minute levels?

You guys realize that making it 10k would add maybe 30m to the length of the game not double it because of the structure, I would care to wager it would be 30m or less longer than this week if it's 10k but you get more play early which is nice

To put that into perspective this week had 110k in play and finished at bb1600 making chips in play worth 70bb if next week it's 10k and goes 30m longer it will roughly be at bb5k (not on stars ATM so not 100% sure of how the blinds will go up but 6 levels should be bb5k) and the chips in play will be 220k which is 44bb so there is no way it will go longer than 30 more than this week but if you lose one pot early you can fight back still

Yeah you're right, really stupid maths from me thanks for the correction. Looking at the structure 10k chips + 5 min blind levels with 20 runners will take less than 3 hours still. I'll set up next week's game now and post the thread with 10k starting and 5 minute blind levels.

Not every week, just until we find one we're happy with. I think 10k with 5k starting should hit the sweet spot in terms of depth of stacks v length of time and we'll stick with this, although I'd expect at least 1 6max tournament before the end of this season
