Default Changes to the Gauntlet IX Schedule

Well, a bit late, only 7 games left, but an audible is required. We will see if this increases any participation for the last 7 games. I'm particularly interested in the rebuy tournaments, I think they will be a lot of fun and were requested by quite a few people. Buy-ins lowered and all of the remaining games will have some sort of bounty/cash prize.

    Game 20 - Wednesday, August 4 10:00 PM ET - NLH Heads Up $5.50

    Game 21 - Sunday, August 8 3:00 PM ET - NLH with Rebuys $2.20
    Game 22 - Wednesday, August 11 10:00 PM ET - NLH 6-Max with Rebuys $2.20

    Game 23 - Sunday, August 15 3:00 PM ET - NLH $5.50
    Game 24 - Wednesday, August 18 10:00 PM ET - NLH 6-Max $5.50

    Game 25 MAIN EVENT - Sunday, August 22 3:00 PM ET - NLH $22

Tournament of Champions - Sunday, August 29 3:00 PM ET - NLH $11

how does this affect the point system, usually $5.50's are worth less points then $10, will it be amended so that the $5.50's will be equivilant to the 10's and 2.20s equivilant to the 5.50's?

Hmm, I hadn't thought of the lower buy-in effecting points for the remaining games. Not really fair for a final push.

With 10 players, a 1st place finish will earn you:

    $10 BI - 105.22
    $5 BI - 84.06

Quite the difference. I guess the only fair way to go about this will be to treat the remaining $5 tournaments as $10 in the point totals?

For rebuys, we are going to take the total prize pool / number of players to calculate the buy-in. So let's say 10 players, $70 prize pool, buy-in will be $7.

Slight change here. All the remaining games will have the buy-in be a minimum of $10 unless the rebuy prize pool/players average exceeds this amount.

Note, that means for purposes of points.

Actual buyins remain what is listed ($2 for rebuys and $5 for freezeouts).

as for points, was the last gauntlet counted as a $5 or $10, cause the point totals were as if it were a $5 buy in not a $10?

Fixed, even though it's irrelevant since I have maybe a 5% chance of playing Sunday.
