and this app would do what?

i find it easy enough to browse the forum in an iphone, what exactly did you have in mind as far as improving that? any app examples?

2p2's app is not pretty but I definitely prefer it over using a browser. But I personally don't see how an app would benefit this particular forum. If you were going to do anything mobile, make a proper mobile version of this site. This forum isn't the worst thing to browse on mobile phone but it's definitely not very mobile friendly. A good mobile version of the site will be a cheaper and welcome option.

I've started browsing FTR on my iPhone and the only things I'd really change would be to make the "go to latest post" icon bigger and make it eaiser to get back to the forum overview page. Maybe make the posting buttons bigger too?

Make the site truly mobile so you don't need to be zooming in and out of every page to read what's printed. Simplify the primary nav for use on a phone. Get rid of stuff that takes a while to load. Etc etc.

Look at how different a news site's mobile version is from its desktop version. It cleans things up a ton and makes it quicker and way easier to read the subject matter that you came there for.

    nothing too crazy.

make login easier for sure and always login.

bodybuilding.com app has a super simple forum browser thing.
