Freerolls at Absolute Poker

We are pleased to announce that Absolute Poker is sponsoring a series of freerolls exclusively for FTR! These are NLHE private tournaments for FTR members only with a prize pool of $750 each.

These are located under the TOURNEYS -> FREEROLL tab of the Absolute Poker game lobby. Be sure you have entered your AP login ID in our AP Freeroll Registration form (see next post). IDs may not be processed immediately, but will be processed at least a few days before the event starts. Only then, will you be able to register to these freerolls.

In order to gain access to any of our private tourneys and freer0lls at Absolute Poker, you must first be added to our list of AP private tourney players. Unless your AP login ID changes, you only need to do this once to have access to all of our private tourneys at Absolute.

You must do this AT LEAST 72 HOURS PRIOR to the event in which you wish to play. Later registrations are not guaranteed to be processed in time, but will be processed before the following event.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PRIVATE MESSAGES (PMs)! If you are late to submit your ID, there is nothing we can do. 72-hours prior is the cut-off!

Is there a buy-in requirement to participate in the Freeroll?

yea but at doyles room we had to activate a "real moeny" account, is it the same kinda thng in the sense that you have to have money in your absolute account to play

No password. You'll have access to register once the list of player IDs is processed by AP. I haven't sent them the list yet. Will do it later in the week.

From Absolute Poker:

Players can create accounts at AP for free and be able to play freerolls anytime. There is no need to make a deposit.

For clarity when you sumbit your email it says "Thanks for entering your Login ID"

I was confused so I did both

Your email IS your login ID at Absolute. Your AP screenname is different, but it's not your login ID.

yea can you post a list of people registered, i tried and just want to make suere it went through.

67 IDs were sent to AP yesterday, but they haven't replied to confirm yet. If you entered your ID late yesterday, it was not included.

A final list will be sent to them early on Monday.

If you can register to the "FTR Private" tournament in your Absolute Poker game lobby, then you are good to go.

Is registration closed untill monday? I just tried to register, and it told me it was a private tourney, only members allowed.

Same, but since Xianti isn't registered either I figure this is ok.

Xianti is a Balla, he wouldn't waste his time in a free roll.

AP hasn't entered your IDs into the tournament group yet.

As of this time, AP hasn't taken action yet.

It says registration open, then I tried to register, but it still denies me access.

Let's just chill out, it not for 22 more hours. Absolute will resolve this tomorrow when they're back in the office.

Sorry, guys. In addition to the emails I sent over the weekend, I sent AP an email with an updated player list last night and another email this morning. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

If you submitted your ID by yesterday, you should be set up to register soon. I'll let you know as soon as AP tells me.

When this all falls thru. We can have a $25nl table on stars. I need to make some Gauntlet money.

AP has confirmed 83 IDs entered.

Those of you who submitted your player IDs by yesterday afternoon (Sunday) should now be able to register to tonight's freeroll, FTR Private.

If you are not able, either you entered your ID incorrectly or you did not enter it in time.

4 player IDs were found to be invalid. Those 4 will need to re-submit their correct player IDs for inclusion in the next freeroll.

Please double-check your entries for typos before clicking "Submit" in our form.

Due to the time it takes to get a hold of Absolute and have them enter the IDs, we ask that players submit their IDs at least 72 hours prior to the event. This delay in AP's response is out of our hands.

You were too late for the January freeroll, but you will be entered for the February freeroll.

Thats quite disapointing I was really looking forward to playing. If its possilble yet you should send in one more list of names.

Sorry. I retracted what I posted immediately after posting. We've had problems with freeroll crashers in the past.

Just FYI: I tried registering for the February one and it says I am not a member of the group even though I am registered in tonights Freeroll.

It's all good I forgive you but still would be nice to be in that tournament

Thanks, but Absolute enters the player IDs one tournament at a time. They'll start entering the IDs for February's freeroll at a later date.

X you have a lot of patience. Thx for setting these up.

All you freeroll guys need to chill out. I cannot believe the fuss over this. On top of it all everything is placed on Xianti. It is clearly posted you needed to sign up 72 hours in advance. If you tried to sign up last night you were obviously more than 48 hours late. Don't worry about next month's freeroll. Maybe the list of names is emailed each month, who knows.

Let's be thankful that X man went through the trouble of getting us a freeroll and for all you trolls in the event start posting in the forums. It doesn't look good when you whine in here yet have 2 total posts.

I was looking for this thread a while back but I thought it was for only players who used your link to download AP. Wasn't sure but hopefully I can play in future events.

124 total player IDs have now been sent to Absolute. If you submitted your ID late yesterday or today, I cannot guarantee that they will process it in time for tonight's freeroll.

You will, however, be entered for next month's freeroll.

Seriously ppl, 72 hours not 72 minutes. Don't bother X if you cannot read instructions. You were supposed to be signed up Fri night at the latest. I want a new rule on FTR freerolls, something like a min. post rule.

I wish that could be done, but technically, it's not possible without a lot of extra code-work on the submission form.

Wasn't this tourney available even to non-FTR members right? All you had to do was have a Absolute email isn't that correct? I'd at least like to see the trolls having to make an account. Not really seeing what FTR(the site, not the players) is getting out of this.

I'll ask around and see if someone can tweak the form to check for FTR accounts and maybe even minimum post-count.

Perhaps an easy way to code it would be to require a person to be logged into the forum. What do yeh think?

There are a ton of people who have made accounts just to join the freerolls. Not sure if the min-post count will work because they might just post whore to get there. Having some troll post "standard" in 100 different threads just to meet the count (especially since most regulars don't care who's in the freeroll anyway)?

It does suck from my perspective that I don't get to play with more regular posters, but I think any freeroll is below most of the better players here in terms of $/hr.

To the freeroll whores. Staying at FTR and learning the game >> freeroll whoring.
