Subway gives me the shits. The only reason I ate there yesterday was because I got locked out and it was raining. The sandwich tasted like dump, don't think I'm going to eat there again. Unless I'm constipated.

Am I the only one that gets veggies and other stuff on their meatball subs? When I order one they almost always just start to wrap it up without asking me if I want anything on it. Any other sub you order they automatically ask you what you want, but with the meatball I often have to stop the fuckers and tell them to put shit on.

Really hate subway and quiznos tbh. Theres a chain in atlanta called Jersey Mike's that is superior to both.

    I usually get the...

Name of Sandwich: Classic Italian (ham, capicola, salami, pepperoni, prosciuttini, provolone)
    Inches: 8
    Type of Bread: Wheat
Toppings: Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, Oil, Vinegar, Oregano, Salt, Pepper

Name of Sandwhich: Oven Roasted Chicken
    Inches: 12 Inches
    Type of Bread: Honey Oat
Toppings: Everything + Sweet Onion Teriyaki

Just so everybody knows...there's no need to pay the extra $1 for the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sandwich. The SOCT sandwich is basically the Oven Roasted Chicken sandwich with Teriyaki sauce on it.

sure, the smaller chains or mom n pop shops will be better, but I think Subway is more than passable as a quick way to get a decent sandwich. I usually either get a Turkey on wheat or my fav. post-work out sub is the 12" meatball on their italian herbs and cheese.

Quiznos isn't any better to me and costs more, plus there are Quizno's snobs that act all high n mighty b/c they just paid $9 for a 8" sub and act like it's the best thing ever. Same kind of annoying people that argue over light beer I guess.

    -Monterey Cheddar
-lettuce, tomato, mayo (a lil extra) and mustard (not very much)

Such a lame sammich but soso good. I've probably gotten that every time I've gone to Subway for the past 6 or so years. And I'm not a fan of the toasted.

It could be that subways in atlanta are particularly nasty, they are franchise establishments and vary quite a bit after all, but I can't help but feel like Subway has declined quite a bit in quality during the past 15 years or so. Maybe since they started putting them in gas stations and walmarts...

Quiznos is ok I guess. Their bread isn't as fresh as subway, but the thing that is nasty to me (not sure why it is) about Quiznos is that they heat up the meat by like dunking it in hot water or something.

This is the sandwich I just picked up and its fucking incredible:

    12"
    Monterey Cheddar (love this bread)
    Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki
Lettuce, Tomato, Green and Yellow (they might be called banana peppers idk) peppers, a few jalapenos, salt, pepper, sweet onion sauce. I'd take a pic but I've already eaten most of it.
  54. #54
wtf isn't monterey cheddar a cheese??

It's bread with Monterey Cheddar sprinkled on top before they bake it obv. It's amazing and highly recommend it for every sandwich.

i'm quite partial to bmt. i once saw somebody having it with double meat and it made me envious. so i'd say that's probably what i'd put on the ideal subway sandwich.

    so:

    BMT double meat
    cheese
    toasted
    all the salad stuff
    honey mustard
    herbs and cheese bread

man that sounds great, and i'm so hungry right now
  57. #57
Jersey Mike's is great. Unfortunately I have to drive 1/2 hour or so to the nearest one, so I don't end up eating it often.

Most local owned sandwich shops are better than the other chains.

After that Quizno's is better than subway by a lot.

And no matter where I eat, turkey is the way to go, with lots of avocado or guacamole if they have it.

wow i am jealous of your exotic subway bread

I always get frustrated when I go to subway and tell them I want a sub of the day toasted and with cheese and then 20 seconds later they ask me if I want cheese.

YES. AND TOASTED AS WELL PLEASE.

Can't knock it though. Subway is a glorious place.

wow I was complaining about this exact subject to someone the other day, I know these people are making $6/hr and aren't the brightest in the world, but this annoys the hell out of me.

Subway must be different in whatever dimension y'all live in. In mine, it has stale, flavorless bread (despite being "baked fresh"), shitty nitrate-laden meat and limp vegetables. It's edible, but barely.

Quiznos ftw. It's not anywhere near as expensive as it used to be.

I wish the people who make my subway sandwich gave a shit about what they were doing to it. If I don't ask for a little of whatever sauce, everything gets drenched. And it kills me when tomatoes are put on in the middle of my halfed bread so all I get is half a sandwich with tomatoes unless I go back in to the condiment drenched innards to move em to a better spot.

With that said... chicken breast w/ chipotle & jalepenos

Got talked into Subway tonight. Had a pizza sub. Came home and almost immediately wrecked my toilet.

    Fuck you, Subway.

+1 to benny. I almost always get sick when i eat their food...it just taste awful here. Silvermine subs, jummyjohns, and bisonwiches are far better.

I used to work at subway so i thought i'd make a top 3.

    1. Philly cheese steak toasted on honey oat toasted with pepper jack chs, ranch, lettuce, pickles, jalepenos, bannana peppers, salt and pepper, and parmasean.

    2. Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap meat toasted for 20 seconds tortilla for 10 with american chs, honey mustard, pickles, jalapenos, bannana peppers, salt pepper, oil and vinager, parmasean, THEN lettuce, and ranch (then watch thoes fuckers try to fold it.)

    3. Meatball toasted with american on white with parmasean, lettuce, pickles, jalapenos, and bannana peppers.

    Largest sandwich i ever made.

Double meat feast (a feast has just under a full serving of ham roast beef pepperoni salami and turkey) on wheat all the way with extra lettuce. This thing had litterly enough meat for 5 sandwiches on it.

And Most discusting sandwich i ever made.

Double meat tuna on wheat with american chs, mayo, marinara, chipotle, spicy mustard, sweat onion sauce, ranch THEN toasted, with extra olives and extra oil and vinager. EWWWWW

Subway is just shitty fast food like McD's etc. and gives me the squits like above.

Sweet processed bread, dirty processed meats, crap processed cheese, then smothered in sweet sauce to hide how awful all the ingredients are.

Just go to your local sandwich shop and get a decent sandwich. Or better still, get nice bread, a lump of cheese and a glass of wine.

You guys are clearly doing it wrong if you ever get a sandwich without all the vegetables
