    Default Video Poker

Just discovered the video poker and learned the optimal 9 6 Jacks or better strategy, which has 99.54% (still -ev)

What do you think, is VP beatable online ? With the bonusses, promos and side game points (cashback) ?

Are there online casinos with good paytables?

P.S.: A royal flush happens every 40.000 hands in VP, but i just hit one in the first 500-1000 hands in a $25 no deposit online casino.

    Nice Royal Flush hit, Daniel!

That's a good question. I wouldn't think online pit games would be beatable long-term even including bonuses & promos, but am interested to see the math behind it. I could be wrong.

    Best of luck!

You can't beat video poker games online with bonuses because they scale the wagering requirements, and cashable bonuses for video poker typically aren't offered. Here's an example of what's probably the single best bonus offer for video poker players at Microgaming-powered online casinos:

    All Slots Casino
    375xb for video poker, cashable
99.54% payout on Jacks or Better (note All Aces Video Poker is the only VP game with a higher payout but isn't allowed for this bonus/neither is Classic Blackjack which also has a higher payout)
100% up to $200 on first deposit

    With a $200 deposit, you'll wager 375 * $200 = $75,000 total. With a house advantage of 0.46 percent, you'll lose an average of $345 clearing a $200 bonus for a net loss of $145.

99.54% is only when played perfectly. There are quite a few situations that many new player's won't get right. You can check out http://www.videopokertrainer.org/ which tells you when you make a correct/incorrect play.

I think it would be hard to find a profitable version online apart from when the game is used for bonus whoring (although most online casinos prohibit or severely limit video poker for bonuses).

It's a good way to get free drinks in some brick and mortar casinos.

We recently built our casinointellect.com site (with forums) to consolidate our blackjack and video poker trainers.

The Soft Magic Dice software has a blackjack game that allows for a payout rate of about 100.7 percent with correct play. I play at one of their casinos that accepts US players from time to time when I'm bored. It's about like playing a Flash game or whatever.
