I'd like to see some credible literature pertaining to that.

    Regarding this website...

To be clear, from what I've heard about stats in the United States, "what allergy" is uncommon (not sure the number), "Coeliac disease" is more common (estimates are something like 1 to 3 people per 100), and "wheat intolerance" is pretty common (estimates are something like 1/4 to 1/3 of the population).

I do not have a source for these numbers, I am writing them from memory, so they may not be correct.

Also, while some people use the defiintions given on this site (which are correct I believe), some people lump wheat intolerence with Coeliac disease (and some even confuse it with wheat allergy). Others assert that such classifications don't even make a lot of sense because it is actually just a spectrum from mild wheat intolerence to all-out Coeliac disease (but that wheat allergy is a different beast). I don't know enough about the issue to make a value judgement about the classification system.

I do know for sure that I feel better when I eat less wheat and feel worse when I eat more. This personal approach not a scientific approach, because the sample size is low (I am only one individual, and I only compared my wheat intake to symptoms for a few months before keeping it low since), and there are so many other variables that I don't really account for, and it's not blind so placebo can play a role.

That was only one and a quick search of my favorites as well. I haven't even read any of these sights in a year or so. Iv'e kinda moved on to some new things. I'm just giving opinions of my own and reciting numbers as well as I remember. I'm not going to debate all this with stats and figures. Health and nutrition are as hotly contested as religion with many people. I don't feel like debating with anyone anymore about alot of these subjects. I will do the same here as I do in practice. Offer plenty of reading material and let the people read if they want. Hell, only 20 years ago they thought that eating as little fat as possible was the way to health. They said margerine was a healthy choice. They thought that HDL and LDL was all important. Now things have changed alot. Hell egg yolks are good for you? What's next.

there are tons of these kinds of literature for tons of different kinds of things. the only really credible literature in existence is double blind, placebo controlled, peer reviewed, etc. your link is none of that.

many studies have been performed poorly and interpreted poorly. those who understood how to perform and analyze studies properly were very much aware of the reality that they didn't prove what was made into a media craze.

Interesting thread. Good read for some of us I'd say.

So I searched Kevin Trudeau and this is the only thread that came up.

I was given his book More Natural "Cures" Revealed, and after reading the first chapter where he claims he has been to Area 51 and seen dead alien bodies, I LOL'd and put the book down.

People I know are drastically changing their lifestyle after reading this book.

Is this guy just a pathological liar making millions from his lies or what?

    wat.

I only read his first book, and that was enough Kevin Trudeau for me. I don't think I could read much more. His first book was more on point, I think he's losing his mind now.

Kevin Trudeau wrote a book - Hitler wrote a book.

    Coincidence?

riptoe and lyle had an internet squabble about some of riptoes claims to a size and strength gains of a particular riptoe subject. Pretty easy to find out about if you follow either board or google both names

man, I was high as hell last night and could not follow anything in this thread. I am now sober and nothing has changed. I am unsure what the topic is as there doesnt seem to be a coherent singular topic to begin with. Then compound that with the epic bump of this nonsensical ancient thread by a post that seems to have nothing to do with the subject at hand, whatever that may be.

    srsly, wtf is going on?

There was some discussion about Kevin Trudeau starting on page 2.
Jyms was recommending that Greedo read one of his books.

I am just curious as to whether there is any value at all in reading his books or not.
A friend of mine read his book and proceeded to throw away all his soap, shampoo, deodorant etc... and is now starting to buy all organic food...
Before reading this book, my friend would have called you a quack if you tried to preach this stuff to him.

I haven't followed Lyle's board in a long time. He has internet squabbles with virtually everybody. Probably my favorite was vs Carl Valle on Charlie Francis' board like in 04

BR.com is the cunt of the diet/exercise internet community. Best source of accurate information, but if you're not in their good graces, Lyle and his minions will eventually hear about it and try to blast you in the ass. Made for some great entertainment back when I paid attention to it.

rip claims some guy gains 45+ pounds of lbm in 6 months
    Lyle laughs
Rip then claims 33lbs in 11 weeks
    Lyle laughs some more
Rip claims the kid can squat 5x345 w/ depth
    Lyle Laughs a lot
Rip posts video of the kid doing it
    Lyle goes "oooops"
Rip invites Lyle to do a podcast at WFAC and then cancels 12 hours before after Lyle changed his plans
Lyle gets epically pissed and rants like a 4 year old for 48 hours on rips forum as well as the mean forum

    the end
