ok, so I'm working out the other day, and I ran into an old aquintance from high school. I think he was a year older (or younger?) then me. I don't know. Cool kid, I was at one of his parties a couple years ago but I don't remember his name.

I did however remember that he went to college down in New Orleans (I live in Ohio, so it's quite a bit away). So I ask him how everything is going down there, since he had to evacuate before katrina and his school go flooded basically. Nope, he doesn't go there. He transferred to Virginia Tech for this school year. Doh.

We shared some laughs then when the awkward moment came where we had nothing to talk about we both just kind of walked away and continued to work out.

went to check out a day care for my 3 year old daughter and brought my 5 month old son with us. at the daycare my daughter takes off and plays with the other kids and the boy and i observe from the corner of the room. a 3 year girl comes over to visit with george and i, and is asking all kinds of questions about him. i ask "do you think HE is a boy or a girl." i have said george and he the whole time we talked and everything he is wearing is blue and his car seat which he is in is blue. little girl " ithink he is a boy".

take a 9x9 3 or 4 inch deep baking pan or caserole dish put in the following.

one chopped up onion (so you have this shape ( not little chunks that would go on tacos.)

about half a stick of butter, cuz butter makes everything oh so much better.

salt and pepper.

cayenne pepper is optional.

fill with beer.

Place this on the grill, and wait for it to get hot, then add seared brats to it. Cook til brats are no longer pink in the center. Serve brats with beer bathed onions and some good mustard. Ketchup and pretty much anything else beyond onions mustard and maybe some kraut is blasphemous.
