Doug Stanhope is prolly one of the funniest motherfuckers I've ever seen. The carnival bit is great. Also this Doug Stanhope - Fuck the Jews - YouTube bit is hilarious.

Check out the unbookables on Stanhopes HP. Still waiting for Norman Wilkerson to put something out: Norman Wilkerson - I Heart Retards - YouTube

Comedians of Comedy and The Aristocrates are a great resource.

Maria Bamford. Especially her christmas special.

I do like a lot of stuff by Patton Oswalt. John Pinette is the least edgy comedian that I like. Can't think about anything in particular by either of them.
If you, like any healthy human have listened to all Carlin albums, specials and TV appearances, pro tip: he wrote like a dozen books. Most of them available as audio books read by him.

Starting to get into Marc Maron cos of his podcast. Genius interviewer, and he's a pretty damn decent standup as well. Eddie Murphy in his standup years ldo.
Even tho I can't listen to Sam Kinison for an extended period of time, he did have good material.
Sam Kinison World Hunger - YouTube

Bob Sagget should do more standup:

omg just yesterday I was wondering where I heard that line: 'You lower the bar and then I limbo under it.' That special is a pot of gold.

+1 to Russell Kane! I've been to see him a few times, one of my favourite lines from him was "They used to call my Grandad Spiderman, because he couldn't get out the bath."

Maybe someone can help me out here. I'm looking for a routine about teaching a child how to read the clock, but idk whose it was. It builds up to him screaming: Three is fifteen, six is thirty...! etc

    Maybe Steve Martin.

Greg giraldo and dmitri martin are probably the two that haven't been mentioned yet that I thought I'd mention. Just saw the latter and he did all original material that's all up to snuff.

Not sure if David mitchell's soapbox counts as standup, but I'm obviously gonna plug my man-crush every chance I get. I'd start with his rape and pillage one (don't feel like youtubing, sorry).

The two that are worth repeating for me are Dave chapelle and Louis ck. Good god they are two hilarious human beings.
  55. #55
yeah dave chapelle & louis ck are godstatus comedians...

john oliver's standup show & jon dore's "funny as hell" have good taste in comics imo. Discovered a few solid acts from there:

Funny As Hell - Anthony Jeselnik - YouTube

He's the only dude at the top of the standup world who doesn't get shit on by other comics. Nothing but respect for Louis all around.
