what im not okay with is the mannis drowning in a puddle and losing my front row seats to cleganebowl. hound and stannis are the most compelling characters in the story and their arcs have only concluded the second act.
I've got to read back in the thread now, but after all your objections regarding these two deaths (they're dead, btw) it was interesting to see that both Sandor Clegane and Stannis' deaths (dead, both of them) were "off screen" in the books too. Stannis' (death, because he's dead) was even more "off screen" in the books than in the TV show.
