Default Some Aussie tried to hack me

So after my session ended last night, I checked my e-mail and saw that I got some automated message from FullTilt which was sending me a temporary password.

I of course thought "wtf I didn't request a new or temporary password - what is going on here?" So I sent security a message asking wtf is going on.

Anyhoo, I have changed my passwords and am now using a new secret e-mail and my funds are still intact so I feel better. But when I was checking up on it, I looked at my log-in history on Tilt and found that the following IP address from Australia attempted and failed to login to my account early this morning.

    121.209.209.239

So if any of you computer wizards can do something with this and/or have any further advice for me, I'd appreciate it.

Yea I think I may need to change a few email addresses myself. My hotmail was hacked last week by a phisher. I think it's time to start thinking deeper.

I am sure more computer literate people will have better answers to this but I would defintiley sent FT an email with the IP address and what happened and let them do the work for you. I am sure they would be very interested in getting to the bottom of this as well.

Unless you have already done this which of course disregard this obv answer.

It's possible he just bounced it off that IP address and it's meaningless.

FWIW, having your email or MSN/AIM addresses listed at the bottom of every post may seem like a good idea, but if your using those same addresses to register for poker sites then your setting yourself up for possibility's.

My old hotmail got hacked just today. I can only remember going on Web Messenger, eBuddy and Messenger FX today so it's one of those I'm thinking.

Don't know if you got anywhere with this I just noticed it so just in case you're still interested....

That IP block belongs to APNIC who are responsible for domain allocation/registration in the Asia Pacific Region.

APNIC have that specific IP registered to an Australian ISP called Telstra Internet.

Telstra have an address for spam/security - "All reports regarding SPAM or security breaches remarks: should be addressed to [email protected]" so they might be able to help! Otherwise you could always give them a call their number is below.
