It's not the law breaking that's the problem, its the killing people. Bit late once they're dead.

Default it's about effeciency not the hours

I don't know how much of you americans know about europe. Some of you may think of Europe as ' France, Germany, UK and the rest. Often people assume that Germany is the economic engine of Europe.

This is true to a certain extent. Temporary crappy low wage jobs have increased in Germany but the quality of jobs has dramatically decreased over the past 5 years.

Now a much more intresting part of Europe is Scandinavia ( Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland). These countries all have high tech economies. Based on knowledge and services. People are well paid , very low unemployment and employees are overall extremely happy.

They work hard but they also have alot of time off. Basically if you run a company in scandinavia the mentality is completely diffferent. Bosses believe in a happy workforce and they are convinced this will make them more creative and effecient overall.

The way a company is run over there is completely different than in 90 % of the Western hemisphere and has proven to show awsome results.
They appreciate input from employees , there is a real relation between the company and it's employees. Sounds hippy? maybe but it fucking works. They also pay a shitload of taxes but nobody seems to give a fuck because everybody is doing well and that's why they also have an excellent social security system that works and which they can sustain.

Overall Scandinavians have a much higher regard of community sense .They believe in weatlh for the people created by the people combined with a high degree of solidarity.

Imho the scandinavians are a rolemodel for how the economic system should work. I think the USA and the rest of Europe can recover from this depression if they would finally think out of the box and maybe take a look at how the scandinavians managed to adopt to a new economic reality with great succes.

Wat. How is a cop somewhere on school grounds going to stop someone from getting shot or stabbed?

Yep. Scandinavia outperforms the rest of the world by far. We should all model after them at this juncture

However, they don't pay a shitload in taxes. The primary difference between Scandinavia and the US is in who pays the taxes and where it's spent. In US, the rich do not pay (which means the workers pay a ton), and a huge chunk of that goes to rebates or subsidization for their corrupt industries in war/drugs/banking. Scandinavia, OTOH, makes the rich pay, and they put the money into social programs for the non-rich

It's really that simple. I don't know the numbers exactly, but what I've looked at in the past suggests that the US workers actually pay more in overall taxes than Scandinavians
