let's start with this one right here. A little quote from a treaty with Tripoli from 1796 that was drafted under George Washington and signed by John Adams, two of those founders you are talking about:
"As the government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."
How about Jefferson and his agnosticism?
"To talk of immaterial existences is to talk of nothings. To say that the human soul, angels, god, are immaterial, is to say that they are nothings, or that there is no god, no angels, no soul. I cannot reason otherwise."
He goes on to say that he does not concern himself with things which may be, but for which there is no evidence.
And to say that a scientist who believes in evolution is slowing progress because they do not question evolution is stupid, even moreso when it comes from someone who would likely argue the alternative, that god did it all. that is the answer that stifles all progress, because if there is ever anything that you don't know, it's jesus. Why is the sky blue, god. Why does the earth revolve around the sun the way it does, god. Why anything is the way it is, god.
last couple of things, please detail John Mccain's executive experience for me, as well as the record of Sarah Palin while she was in office in Alaska. What exactly has she done there? As George W. Bush has shown us, the simple act of being elected as a Governor is not enough to show that you can actually run a country. He was a Governor, and not a very good president. I would imagine that a lot of knowledge regarding the financial system, foreign policy, and diplomacy, amongst you and your close advisors would be a hell of a lot better than that I was governor of a state for 1 term where I totally fucked shit up. But maybe that's just me.
