6/4/2010 5:06:14 PM PST (about 24 minutes ago)

    Hellmuth Ranting

Phil Hellmuth was ranting about Max Steinberg who had just taken a pot from him with . The dealer quickly swept in the board so we weren't able to get the action, but Hellmuth was clearly frustrated. "It's a miracle you're still here," Hellmuth vented.

Hellmuth was left with about 135,000 after the hand, which is well below the chip average.

    LEGEND!!!

8/15 left in event 8, go go go go !

    Brazilian Song and Dance
Daniel Wjuniski moved all in from the cutoff for 340,000. Max Steinberg called from the small blind.
    Steinberg: [ah 8h
    Wjuniski: [8d 7s
The flop came down [6d 2s 5h. Wjuniski would need a straight card or a seven to stay alive. His contingency of railbirds started shouting for a four. Wjuniski had the Brazilian flag draped around his shoulders waiting for his fate.
The turn brought the and the rail went wild.
The river was the and Wjuniski raked in his chips and his followers treated us to a song and dance. It feels like the World Cup in here.

Damn luckbox. He had to know he was going to be (correctly) called light by players of Max's caliber. 87o. Straight up donk move. Maybe it's on the brazilian push/fold chart.

How often are the chip counts updated?

On the WSOP site they seem to be automatic every 1,3,5 minutes you set. But they aren't changing anymore lately

All the money went in preflop betweeen three players. Max Steinberg (660,000) had both Josh Brikis (570,000) and Saar Wilf (315,000) covered.
    Steinberg:
    Brikis:
    Wilf:
The flop brought and Steinberg was still ahead.
The turn gave Brikis a flush draw.
The that fell on the river was no help to either of the all-in players and Steinberg hit a double.

When he says "live feed" he just means the WSOP/PokerNews blog feed (I was in IRC sweating with him). Be nice, he's Australian, they don't know how to communicate with the rest of the world.
  61. #61
Fair enough, Last year they had all the FT's with live feeds, we watched Nutsinho take down second as well. No live feeds this year just live reporting. Big difference

    STEINBERG! Grats.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes
