    Default LA!

i'm headed to LA for a few days in jan(1-6) and wanted to know where some good mexican food can be found. any ideas? open to street vendors and sit down places, not looking for ambience just great food

some of the food we are discussing
we are keeping to mostly cheap eats

    Musts:

    Din Tai Fung (dumplings)
    Soot Bull Jeep (korean bbq)
    Philippes (french dip)
Burrito King (chicken tacos, late night)
    In and Out Burger

    Other:
    AOC (Suzanne Goin's Gourmet Tapas)
Other Chinese (steam fish, dim sum)
    Pinks (hotdogs)
Sushi (some place in little toyko or Hirozen)
    Robata (grilled japanese kebabs)
    Pho
Old Farmers Market for Brazillian (permanent market with food vendors)
Roscoe's at 1448 N Gower Street, just north of Sunset(chicken and waffles)
    El Huarache Azteca(mexicxan huaraches)

jeez it's hard to find a good mexican in L.A. like finding a good indian in bombay or a good italian in rome. i don't envy you at all.
