Everybody in Cleveland seems confident that we'll go into Washington and beat the 'Skins.

I'm totally on that train of thought, and I can't watch the damn game! I hate cable.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

ha, to make it clear, I don't personally think the Browns are going to beat the 'Skins on the road..........

plus I really don't bet on sports.

also on that note, I'm glad to see the Jim Haslett Rams doing well.. I think he's a good coach and got royally screwed in New Orleans post-katrina. Looks like even the offense plays hard for him, which is a good sign.

Anybody that didn't take the Titans for money is retarded. Absolute beatdown happening at Arrowhead right now.

P.S. Huard is in, so I guess we'll keep it respectable...

by all accounts the rams should have like 4 picks. there have been at least 3 situations where brad johnson has thrown it to their hands and/or chest.

Rams were up 21-7, how? are the cowboys that bad?

p.s. our announcer is none other than GUS JOHNSON, who is fucking awesome. I mean that only kind-of, he's not great and not terrible, but goddamn does he get excited!

here's some basketball clips of him going crazy, he does the same thing for random NFL plays

31-7 now, and the best way to put it is that the Rams are just thoroughly outplaying the Cowboys in just about every possible way... turnover differential, run game, passing efficiency, penalties (at least important ones), and probably special teams as well, although Josh Brown narrowly missed a long FG and had a kickoff out of bounds. Coverage teams are spot on though.
  16. #16
my 9-7 guess could be way off, they may end up 7-9
  17. #17
damn, that's crazy about the cowboys

Chiefs have been outscored 54-0 in last seven quarters, awesome

lol holy crap, brad johnson is a freaking statue.

All the talking heads would talk about this week was how Brad Johnson was such a quality backup QB and the Cowboys don't have anything to worry about. I kept thinking.... the dude is FORTY YEARS OLD WTHH, and I don't think anybody would ever consider him a superstar even in his prime. Probably an underrated QB though (back then).

I love Herm Edwards.. funny guy.. love his pressers.. lots of emotion. I just think he's a terrible coach. He had a large part (IMO) of running the Jets into the ground and he's done the same thing with the Chiefs. Maybe I'm too rough on him...
  20. #20
Herm is awesome in press conferences. Absolutely awesome.

For some reason I think he's a good coach, too, and want to see what happens when he gets some players around him. We'll see.

i'm impressed by the browns defense, not so much by the offense.

lol, I'm not in charge of that. Plus, we were facing the Lions, with a QB who ran out of his own endzone the last week for a safety. How the hell were we supposed to know he'd be able to score like a 98 yd TD? (*#&*(^# hha.

Hines is an assasin. How many of these hits are people going to take before they get their head on a swivel when Hines is out there.

He better not get fined again, bunch of shit.

My Steelers seem to be the one dominating team in the AFC this year. Their offense is sketchy sometimes but the defense is scary good. Woodley, Timmons and Harrison are animals. Woodley is going to be a pro-bowler for MANY years to come. Next 4 game stretch for the Steelers will be a big test. Giants, Skins,Colts and Chargers.

I think Tom Brady's injury has given your team a huge edge for a super bowl run. I think the AFC championship is your to lose right now.

well the Titans are my second favorite team, but I've been putting all of my energy in a Houston Texans playoff run, and I'm not giving up just yet.

Titans D is crazy sick, they shut out the Chiefs yesterday (effectively at least, until 6min to go and scrubs were out there) and they have shown no signs of slowing down.

I still think they need VY back at QB. He is getting such a raw shake here as Kerry Collins took over as the schedule got ridiculously easy.

It's about to go Colts, Packers, Bears, Jags, we'll see how Collins stacks up against some real teams.

There have been about four reports over the last couple years of him wanting to quit on his team, including in their playoff loss last year at halftime and before his injury this year.

Jeff Fisher had to call the cops on VY TWICE this year because he was afraid that he was going to hurt/kill himself or somebody else.

I think he put it best when he said something to the effect of, "we love vince, we are pulling for vince, but we don't feel that we should have to babysit a 25 year old."

VY is terribly overrated as an NFL QB anyway.

The Titans are a better team with Kerry Collins at the helm, period. And no, it's not because Collins is just that good.

I mean hell, if y'all had Sage Rosencopter on your team you'd probably still be 6-0...well maybe 5-1 assuming Rosencopter pulls the same shit in their Indy game that he did in the Houston/Indy game.

anyways, the Titans would have the same exact record with VY that they have with Collins. Like I said, we'll see in the next four weeks how good collins is, I would assume that with me handing the ball off 60 times yesterday we could have beat the Chiefs.

I'm honestly as excited as I have been since the Greene/Lloyd Blitzburgh days about this defense. Our linebackers are awesome, as is the line. Big Snack, Smith, the Diesel. And the secondary is holding up. Troy seems healthy (other then having his bell rung Sunday). And the icing on the damn cake, the special teams isn't KILLING us. In fact they look damn good.

High hopes for a deep play off run. The rest of the top teams in the AFC just have GLARING problems. Steelers don't. And defense wins championships, and we may be the only team in the AFC that can play D and put up big points if we have to. I haven't passed judgement on the Titans yet as I haven't watched them much. I just don't know if they face a D that can stop their run what they can do chucking the rock.

Go Steelers!!!!!!! Time to start filling up that other hand with rings.

Dec. 21 your wish will be granted (fingers crossed on the healthy part)
[x] will be at this game, probably the only one i'll go to this year. went to all except one of their home games last year.

the question isn't how "good" collins is. fisher isnt looking for a superstar at qb. he wants a game manager. and collins fits the bill. fisher's style has always been to have a "grinder" style offense. the only thing thats held them back the past couple of years is that the run game has been very inconsistent........well looks like the addition of chris johnson, and implementing a 2 back rotation, is taking care of that.

Browns looked great against the Giants the week before to. Hell, both of us in a two back set against Denver would probably be good for 150 and a score.

I wouldn't get to excited. I hope Morris is ok though. Man he looked good last night. Cassel holds the ball way to long. Him and Big Ben must have hung out this last offseason.
You are an FTR station-pwn'ing badass motherf**ker. You have no pansyass, girly-girl, crybaby fears. Pwn the f**king stations like you know you ought to. And win some damn money, dammit.

VY is terribly overrated as an NFL QB anyway.
how many QB's were good after their first 2 years in the league?
define good... 9 TD and 17 INT in their second season as a full-time starter, or trent edwards good?

I'm actually surprised by your comment. I'd argue that most of the 'successful' QBs in the league were pretty good players by their 2nd, possibly 3rd years in their league... and certainly within that time as a starter.

i agree. i think when you td:int gets significantly worse between rookie and second year thats also a bad sign.

I think the only position you can judge after two yeras is Running Back, everything else takes time.

VY was a system QB in college, running everything out of the gun in some sort of spread option offense. You then ask him to get under center and run a pro-style offense, he needs time.

Look at his career at TU and tell me where he started to become a great college QB.
