US Players Allowed Ebola is a Hoax

A mob descended on the center at around 5:30 p.m., chanting, “No Ebola in West Point! No Ebola in West Point!” They stormed the front gate and pushed into the holding center. They stole the few gloves someone had donated this morning, and the chlorine sprayers used to disinfect the bodies of those who die here, all the while hollering that Ebola is a hoax.

They ransacked the protective suits, the goggles, the masks. They destroyed part of Tarplah’s car as he was fleeing the crowd.

Jemimah Kargbo, a health care worker at a clinic next door, said they took mattresses and bedding, utensils and plastic chairs.

“Everybody left with their own thing,” she said. “What are they carrying to their homes? They are carrying their deaths.”

She said the police showed up but the crowd intimidated them.

“The police were there but they couldn’t contain them. They started threatening the police, so the police just looked at them,” she said.

The people in West Point are the ones that think it's a hoax so they went ahead and stormed a hospital and infected eachother.

Yeah I feel so fucking bad for them because they don't really have any way to know better, and that type of shit could turn this into an even bigger disaster than it already is if they keep it up. :/

    Hey.

He's being serious. Wipe that smirk off your avatar. ImSavvy is much more suited to respond.

Oh my fucking god let's all panic because a horrible disease has now killed over one thousand people. ONE FUCKING THOUSAND.

Meanwhile, more people have been killed by fucking Israel over the last few weeks in Palestine.

BUT OH MY GOD E FUCKING BOLA.

The potential with Ebola is much higher than the potential for the Jews and A-rabs.

Yeah maybe so, but more people die of cancer every hour than die of ebola in a year. I just pulled that statistic out of my arse, but it's probably true. Point is, there's much worse things going on in the world than ebola, but people like a scary plague to worry themselves about, don't they?

I'm more worried about the quality of air I'm breathing than I am about a disease that's got 1000 people over a few months in a filthy continent.

Ebola can spread at an exponential rate, cancer can't. Cancer kills more people (probably) but it's predictable in a sense. The concern for Ebola is that it's a powerful virus which has the ability to become a worldwide pandemic. Yes it's in a country right now that doesn't have the means first-world countries have to control it but that doesn't mean if it gets out of hand there it's not something we have to worry about. People don't care that it killed 1000 people over a few months, they're worried that if it can't be contained it kills more than a 1000 the next couple months and on and on.

On a hardly related note, all this Ebola talk made me watch Outbreak again and I forgot what a fun movie that is.

Ebola killing 1,000 people is a big deal since it's never killed that many people in a short period of time before showing tremendous growth that could very quickly get out of hand because of the geometric rate that it would spread.

There are some bacteria in a plastic bottle, and their population doubles every minute until the bottle is full at 12:00. When is the bottle only half full? 11:59.

It's not an airbourne disease. It's spread through direct contact with an infected person's secretions, or via an infected animal. As far as I can tell, it's not spread by mosquitos. The quick onset of symptoms means that the risk of transmitting the virus through travelling is minimised. The risk is very much exaggerated. It wouldn't surprise me at all if people are at more risk as a result of panic than they are as a result of the virus.

But if you ban everybody, who are we going to hate on?

Maybe the Time Haters skit was all about a scenario where Jyms had banned everybody, and they had to go back in time to find people to hate on.

Not too worried. I smile when people say it can take out the human race. That would be very hard to accomplish as Ebola only has a 70% mortality rate. In simpler terms, 30 percent of the people that catch Ebola end up surviving. Carry on.

I think it actually has a 50% mortality rate averaged amongst the three strains if properly treated. If this actually does become big, I'm not worried about the human race, I'm worried about bleeding to death through my anus.

Are you also worried about having your head cut off by crazy Muslims?

Stop reading the papers. It's bullshit.

    Poll time...

What are you more likely to die of in the next month?

    a) ebola
    b) ISIS cutting your head off
    c) flu
    d) getting run over by a bus

This is what the New York Times have been pushing...

"All signs point to late stage ebola"

If that guy is suffering from late stages of ebola then galap need not worry about anal bleeding. Check out how he looks around casually at 2:45.

Oh and for added lulz check out how the "Father" is clutching a wad of cash as he walks off. 3:40 is the best shot.

I'm starting to think this is a hoax.

In the same context of my post, then yes, if I was caught by crazy Muslims I would be afraid of having my head cut off by them.

So I went to liveleak to see how much gory footage there is of people dying of ebola, and I can't find any.

I can watch people apparently having their heads cut off by crazy muzz, but I can't find someone puking themselves dead? What gives?

I suspect doctors are a little more professional in their patient care than ISIS.

Yeah African doctors certainly do share our high standards of professionalism.

Did you watch the footage I linked above? That guy rolling around in the dirt without any rashes or boils, sitting up and casually looking around, he has the late stages of ebola. If that's late stages of ebola, then I think a blanket and some lemsip will do the job nicely.

Send loads of lemsip to Africa!

jesus bonga stop pretending you're an ebola expert. You're as bad as those conspiracy theorists that go over 3 frames of a blurry grainy video and claim "proof"
  41. #41
Oh god not the "stop pretending to be an expert" rage smiley face.

dozer, are you an expert on ebola? What about every other topic that you talk about on the internet? No? Well sit down and shut the fuck up then, and leave the chit chat to the experts.

    Which is none of us.

    *slaps*
  43. #43
    Let's summarise.

I suggest dude rolling around in dirt does not have late stages of ebola because he is lacking in visible signs of rash or boils, while is able to sit up and look around.

You suggest I'm pretending to be an expert.

I point out somewhat sarcastically that very rarely is anyone in an internet conversation an expert in the matter.

    You internet slap me.

I'm not sure where to go next. Is it kiss and make up time or should I internet headbutt you first?

If you tried, you'd "miss" the headbutt and "accidentally" kiss me. cuz you love me
  45. #45
Why does that need a rage smiley?

I think if I headbutted you it would feel like a kiss because I haven't headbutted anyone ever before.

Your reading comprehension fails are at least consistent.

I said they're more professional at their jobs than ISIS members. Meaning, even if they aren't as professional as Western practitioners (an assumption on your part), they're not going to be filming their serious work on a vertical camera phone screaming, "WERRRRRL STERRRRR!"

Ok granted pointing at ISIS decapitations was a poor example. But the lack of liveleak footage is still very much telling.

Also, ISIS is more bullshit. Who the fuck are these guys? Oh yeah the guys who we armed to fight Assad, and who we insisted most definitely did not use chemical weapons which we blamed on Assad.

    Crock of fucking shit.

I realise I'm just a ranting stoner in England. I understand that I lack a great deal of information, and the expertise, to argue this point with any authroity. That doesn't mean I'm wrong though. You can believe what you want. One of us is deluded. I sincerely hope it's me. I'd rather it be true that a nasty disease has killed 4k people, than it be true that the powers that be are making this shit up in order to panic the population into accepting a vaccine.

I haven't actually taken any stance in this thread other than Ebola is bad if it were to catch on in a country, Outbreak is a cool movie, ISIS would cut off my head if they caught me, and African doctors don't provide many videos to World Star.

Pretty sure you can make the claim Outbreak is a shitty movie but not sure how I come across as deluded anywhere.
