Default Chance to Legalize Online Poker in California

    Hey everyone,
California is going through major budget discussions right now, and a group at calonlinepokernow.com have organized a drive to reinstate online poker as way of generating revenue (and--ya know--because it makes sense).

PLEASE, go take 8 seconds and sign the petition! It'd really go a long way!

Last time I signed a petition, gay people were allowed to buy guns without the mandatory waiting period in order to abort babies. And it introduced a new hotel tax too. I'm not going through that again.

So you find a magic lamp and you're furiously rubbing one out when a Genie appears and offers you one of two magical petitions. One legalizes poker, but renders marijuana illegal until the day after you die. The other legalizes marijuana, but renders all forms of poker illegal til the day after you die.

    Which do you sign?

There is no "when". It ends there, or rather continues in an infinite loop.

While I wish pot was legal so that I didn't have to be sly about it, it really doesn't present too much of a problem in my daily life that pot is illegal.

On the other hand, I'm not comfortable playing poker for any personally significant money outside of a casino or trusted online site. Poker being illegal would mean no poker beyond a $10-20 game here and there with friends.
