I had this happen to me. there are companies out there that can recover everything, but they can be rather pricey (one company was going to charge $400 to get everything off of it). I guess if you have really important items on there then it's worth it, but not for me. | |

I might get lucky. There are several hardware guys at work that said that they will be able to look at it and determine if it is fixable. They said they will know within a couple of minutes. If it is fixable, they said that they will make it work. | |

Not really. They took it apart and saw that some of soldering were broke. They re-soldered it but it still didn't work. Next step is to buy the same model and try to attach the memory from the broken one to the new one. | |
