Default Any interest in an FTR team to play in those OFC games?

Just about to play in one of those OFC games (this time on WPT) & was wondering if there's any interest in getting an FTR team together? (there's prizes for winning forum).

It's just a thought. I noticed FTR was included in the list of forums you can pick to represent. Also have noticed a few names i recognize but not sure if you're playing for FTR in them?
Even a small'ish' team of FTR regs. (even the micro/low donks like myself) would likely fair well & be in contention ftw (imo).
Yah the tourneys have terrible structure but they are full of fish - - ez money & decent bankroll boost for micro players. (bragging rights? ... winning forum?).

Today's tourney is the freeroll (on WPT), only 53 entrants in it (1st = $185).

    Just a thought. Anyone?

I play them and would represent FTR if we had a few more bodies in them.

There's point-based forum team prizes but you pretty much need to win an event or have a few people cash / make final finishes to beat the other forums.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

winning forums usually get $200 freerolls,$100 2nd, $!00 3rd. trouble is most players that play there games, also play at other forums, things are changing. and a lot more players are signing up in ofc for FTR, its getting better. the more sign up for FTR the more chance off winning freerolls. with things changing at FTR.its gooding to be 1 off the better forums on the net.

Got 2nd in the buyin event today, $496.

Heads up was tilting, I've never been so card dead HU in a MTT like that in my life. Just about 20 hands straight of 63o, 82s, T5.

WTG KoRn! I can relate to bein' real cardead HU... happened to me vs. you before, lol.
I bombed out at 30/60 level. UTG raises... I 3bet BIG w KK in LP (figure he must be strong, hence why I put out a bigger than typical-sized 3bet, ~550). He 4bet jams 70bb's on me & of course I snap.
He's got AKo... flops an Ace Turn brings me a FD... but I wiff river

My g/f took 3rd in the Freeroll on Saturday for $75 (she'd been CL for most of tourney, took a couple badbeats on final table bubble... AK < AQ (standard)... but other one was this uber-fishtard (I feel like posting his sn, lol)... he'd been HBL ~40%, even at 250/500, was directly on her right, open-limping SB 100% (L/C all raises on table... well prob ~90%)... just a Huge "I wanna see the flopzz OOP fish".
Anyways, on ~18bb's, he limps SB... it's final table bubble, she jams KTs on him & he snapcalls with QTo & gets there. Says in chat > "Called because I'm tired of getting bullied & pushed around!" (< solid reason for making decisions on final table bubbles imo, LoL).
She made a good recovery from that & came back as one of the dominant chipstacks on final table.
Was fun to rail her & watch her doing well in that game (1st would've been funner to see).

I'm going to ask MasterOfDisaster (dombo?), Aldito, Daniel72 & a few other good players I see playing in some of the same tourneys as myself.
If you could maybe ask a few of the FTR regs. to join in (or if they're by chance reading this thread right now), I'm sure we'd have a good chance at taking it down.
I used to be pretty loyal playing for another forum but am not interested in repping them in OFC events anymore.

Would be cool if Pascal joined in too! (& maybe JohnBoy & RamJam as well).

Congrats again on 2nd KoRn. - - my KK holds there vs. the AK... you'd prob been playing for 3rd so don't feel too bad about getting 2nd.... just kidding... maybe

    Thanks

You should post this in the MTT players post here thread, I think we'd be able to get half a dozen players and have a good chance at some extra mahnies!

I'll go pre-reg. now, picking FTR as forum to rep.

There's (3) pre-registered for it now who are representing FTR.
    I am #3

There's a bit of confusion with the dates these games are running on. Looks like it might have been changed to Oct.6 & Oct.7 but on the OFC site there is a banner still for both dates (I guess they haven't fixed it yet?).
I am still waiting to play the other one on CircleLine, ha ha ha.

See you all on final table
    I am woohanelly68 on WPT.

This are really valuable games , if you are playing that day anyways, why not add this game.

the $5.50 ,2k added thats 400 people that you don't have to beat in a pretty small field as well.

Yah what MofD & KoRn said,... AND.. you get to play with some other great players on your team!! (lol).. cuz the 3 of us took down back-to-back team 2nd place finishes in the last event they held on there (too bad we repped the wrong forum in that one ). Oh... & woohanelly took 3rd in the Donkroll.
I guess in other words... 'we're going to win this!' Even if some other teams have 3 or 4x as many players on them. Will be great having you on the team (be prepared to adjust play to ALOT of huge fish!)

This'll be fun! Can't wait to win it!

Can someone tell me a bit more about these? Do they change site regularly? What's the added value like? Are they massive fields?
  24. #24
Yeah they change sites quite often. Some are marginally shady (everleaf network and others). Each one they run a freeroll ($500 usually) on the saturday that gets 200-800 runners depending on the site. Then the Sunday they run a $2k+ added buy in tournament that usually gets 80-300 players.

    Here's their past events:

They change sites for every new OFC game to get people to download new sites as well to deposit to them. They play these games in 3 sets of games once a month for 3 months.I would join in them and to represent FTR.

Does anyone know if we won anything in today's game?
    I went out in 9th

Alot of shortstacks on the final table.
The chipleader raised 3xbb in Cutoff, I had AA seated in BB with 16bb's & pushed allin.
    They called and had 77.
    Cards ran out 2-8-K 6 7

I think I mighta been chipleader had that hand held up.

Oh well we will see how it goes tomorrow.

Sorry not much chat on the table. I didn't know who was who (which of you players were you guys from FTR).

    Good Luck on Sunday!
  28. #28

ShaunDweeb got 5th. And we had 4 members getting us points.

Way to go guys! Lets win this!

Dweeb would be me! 5th. Cool that we won something. Now let's kick some freak'n azz!!
Meh, I blew it on the final table... especially on bubble. One player there blinding down to where they had 1/20th of a BB, lolzz.. & bein' short myself felt I had zero FE & woulda prob thrown up watching Mr. 1/20th BB get ITM instead of myself, lol.
I was so cardead that even while sitting on 15-20bb, my steals with 73s, Q4o got through (< it was that bad.).
Still feel like I blew it though
