Stopped in at a Hugo Boss outlet store, saw a plain looking $90 tie, turned and left immediately.

lol. $90 for boss tie seems reasonable.

pace is slipping and I'm sick of grinding. I'm considering hiring a personal assistant to help out with menial tasks when I move out so I save some time and headaches. The main thing is finding someone who can cook though...so not sure how difficult that will be. I take possession of my house on the 29th, so I'm going to aim to have one chosen before then. I suppose I'll think it over and write up some ads then potentially release them next week. ideally the chosen candidate would be ready to work first week of august and make good curry chicken.

When you get SNE are you going to try and make 5/10, 10/20, 25/50 your regular games? Seems like the next step to getting even better.

    GL with the grind.
  22. #322
I'll go for it again if I make it. I'm behind pace right now but am in the middle of almost moving so once that's over it should be easy catch up.

probably will play 3/6 - 25/50 next year.

right now im just playing 3/6 and 5/10 and when games aren't running enough I play down to 1/2

What are the most difficulties with this transition? Turn and River play I'd imagine? More room to get bluffed, or to run bluffs?

I actually haven't had any problems switching back and forth.

though I guess the most difficult thing though is going from 100bb to CAP and not having the room to splash around as much preflop.
  39. #339
Well I'm just about fully moved into my new house. It doesn't have AC or internet yet so until I get that installed I'll be staying at my parents house. I'll post some pics once it's all done.

nah, I couldn't get financing without a co-signer (fucked up because I got a mortgage...) so I'm gonna just drop cash onnit and then laugh in the face of the guy at the bank who wouldn't take my business.

here's some pics of my new house. quality is kind of shit because I took them with my phone. bathrooms aren't finished yet so left them out.

hall and door. gucci flops and some tools.

"..50 inch screen money green leather sofa.." well actually the 50 inch is upstairs, this one is 42. <3 biggie.

the chill zone. jolly rancher chairs are elite.

kitchen...quartz countertops. put too much money into this room, but its tiiight.

master bed pic 1. room too big for 1 pic. other bedroom is roughly the same size but with one big window instead of 2 regular sized.

master bed pic 2. tv is 50 inch, but is almost too small for room. thinkin about trading it in for a 70.

    soon to be office

Condo looks real nice. It looks big. What are the white panels surrounding your TV in the living room? I like.
    Family Cruise IMO

its pretty big, about 1400 sq ft. i don't even have use for the second bedroom (its as big as the master and has giant closet) so im thinking of renting it out to another poker player in the near future.

the thing around the tv is a shelving unit from ikea - u basically pick whatever pieces u want (the freestanding section is all one piece, and the mounted ones above the tv are separate). i added in the doors to cover the shelves. they have a high gloss finish so they look pretty cool/modern.

i picked it all out using this thing online: BESTÃ… Planner - IKEA

its been 2 weeks since closing and I've finally settled into my new house. internet was hooked up yesterday so I have now transferred my workspace over and will begin living there for good.

I had an interior design consultant come yesterday and plan out what is to be done with the bathrooms and stuff (they are bare as fuck and have no mirrors). she recommended doing this tile thing on the wall behind my tv. gonna take her word on it since she's a milf. i hear back from her next week on a quote and then hopefully will get all the shit ordered and installed by the end of the month.

aside from some tile, and some art for the walls, the place is looking real cool and I think I am gonna be happy living here for awhile. 24 hour grocery is 2min away so I will not starve hopefully.

in the meantime i need to catchup on this sne grind so ill be back and forth between cap and 100bbing.

just had a thought - did we ever end up having that 100k prop bet? i think i bailed on it cos i wasn't going to be allowed to include rakeback, but i'll try and check. Anyway, you won that race - bet or no bet

pretty funny how I have had my car for less than a week and I get a flat tire - on a day which happens to be a holiday, thus the 24/hr warranty service office is CLOSED. LOL!

funny thing about owning a car, if something can go wrong, it will! I don't think I mentioned it on FTR yet? But yeah..I bought an infinity fx35 etc. pics if you want em I guess.

I haven't really made a poker update in awhile so I guess I'll write something on that. My results have been good for most of the year, but there have been many periods of time where things weren't going so hot IRL and I managed to muster up enough discipline to self-ban myself from certain stakes to avoid playing them while on super tilt. If it weren't for doing so, I'd probably be down a lot of money. I suppose my discipline can't be that good because if it were it wouldn't be necessary to impose table limits. I am proud of myself though for admitting that I can't help myself and am pretty much an action junkie/degen. What I am not proud of though is how I have been conducting myself at the tables lately. I'm posting here to confess that I have lashed out at a number of people, some deserving, but most not. I'd like to apologize to those who I've called out at the tables who aren't actually a scumbag. I am probably the least professional poker player on the internet. I think the lack of professionalism stems from not actually having any real responsibility in this world. I have no kids, I have no education, I haven't had a real job in years. I basically get away with whatever I want. I can do what I feel like because there is nothing forcing me to do otherwise. The freedom has essentially gotten to my head because my life never used to be like this.

I have gotten further than most people with poker simply because I have been able to admit to myself and my peers the flaws in my game. Doing such has helped me open my eyes to what I need to do to improve. You need to be able to face your weaknesses in order to overcome and eventually defeat them. If you just ignore what holds you back from being better, or rather, being the best, you will fail. I have learned to be very honest with myself about the technical flaws in my game. Now is the time for me to straighten my head out. I went from being poor at controlling my ego, to being exceptional at it. But lately it's just been a downward spiral and the control has become worse than when I first started playing poker.

So I've admitted what my faults are. It took too long, and I regret not working on improving upon them sooner. Once I regain my lost professionalism, I will return to higher stakes. I'm not going to elaborate on the strategies I will be employing to get my head back on straight as that's too deep/personal for this post. I'll be playing mid stakes for awhile without chat, and am going to at least try to focus on getting back on pace for SNE and not wasting time being a total dick to people just because they suck at poker and still charge $400/hr for coaching.

I will go back to playing higher when I feel my professionalism (or lack of) has improved significantly. I know I can do this, and I know for sure that I will soon be one of the most feared NLHE players on the face of the earth. I just need more time...

introspection is good sometimes. Playing lower stakes when expecting non-a-game risk is incredibly smart. chatting too much is a waste of time - use chat to tilt others, don't let it tilt you. Ranting in tilt means focus on the wrong spots.
nice post dude. Now get those vpps grinding.

ps - i'll offer tilt-control packages for the unbelievably low price of $400/hr. It's obviously a great deal (for me) as I can't beat the tiltz so i should obviously teach others to do so instead

Well I hired a PA. She starts working Monday and I already have a huge list of shit for her to do. I was pretty impressed with her qualifications and the interview went well so she is hired. In other news I just bought a 30 inch monitor so hopefully it'll pay off in helping me increase productivity (fucking $1500 they cost wtf).
