the increase has to do with the resolution. it's so f'ing high it's basically double HD picture which is why the price is dramatically higher. it's a whole diff category of monitors in itself.

Figured that. The usual resolution for 27" and lower is 1980x1020, and 30" monster has 2560x1600. Must be one sick picture right there.

so my PA just left and I must say, holy fuck was hiring her ever a good idea. I've played nearly 5k hands today so far and still going. my house is incredibly clean, and I had a fucking awesome meal.

only have 632k VPPs but I seriously think catching up may be doable now. I had her go out and do grocery shopping, cook me a meal for tonight + a reheat for tomorrow, and clean entire house. she also did dishes/cleaned everything up after my dinner and cleaned my extremely messy garage.

if yer a SNE grinder I would def recommend getting one.

Considering he could only 6table 3/6+ @ about a lil over 5hrs/day it isn't really an excuse to not be able to get SNE and maintain a solid game. You can easily have a number of holidays and 9table occasionally when the games are good and still make it very very easily without your game deteriorating.

I have had plans for the past 2 weekends and a lot of shit has gone on during the week (i.e. breakup with gf...) so despite the fact I am falling further behind pace once I get back from Toronto this weekend I'm gonna make a serious attempt to pull this off and do nothing but grind until I hit 800k VPPs then I'm gonna eval where I am at and make a real fucking srs decision on whether or not this is happening. No more weekends off etc after this one.

as for sne... im done with it it. this year just didn't go as planned and things got in the way. maybe next year, maybe not, but most likely not.

my original goal of the year was to hit 600k vpps, and I have passed that. I am just about at 700k, so I'm going to set the bar at 800k vpps and then call it a year. my original goal with SNE was simply to give myself a way to make a 6 figure income, and I did that without even getting SNE. the problem with SNE for me, is it conflicts with my goals of what I want out of poker. Yes a 20k bonus at the end of the year would be nice, and extra rakeback for the year after even better. but things just didn't go as planned. I bought my first home, I broke up with my girlfriend who, at a time, though we were meant to be together. I have also spent countless hours studying real estate and other forms of investment because it's what I'm really interested in, and during that time poker simply took a step aside.

I suppose I could have planned all this out better, though, I didn't even start putting up SNE pace days until February, so it was a long shot right from the start, especially when I was just taking shots at msnl cap and had little experience with short stacks.

thank you to everyone who followed this blog and gave me support along the way. I couldn't have ever thought to aim high without the help of everyone around me (literally shed a tear writing this). my plans are now to focus on taking my game to a higher level and getting back to putting in some work away from the tables. Lower volume, higher quality, tilt-less poker. I feel that I have potential to play higher stakes poker... and just mindlessly grinding is only making that less of a possibility. I feel that, despite higher swings, if I make the same amount playing 10/20 as 2/4, I'd be happier playing 10/20 simply for the challenge.

I will be writing a journal to aid my study on CAP strategy and may convert it into a book in the future if such demand exists - and if my results deem worthy of producing such content. Trying to catch up to SNE has totally wrecked them as of late...but I am confident I will recover. the focus will be on advanced concepts that have nothing to do with the push/fold segment of the game because that shit is just for rakeback grinders... something I tried to not become, and ultimately did not want to become - which seems to be the deep motivation behind me passing on this SNE thing.

I'll blog a bit here until I hit 800k vpps, then close the blog, take some time off, and try and better some relationships I have with others irl. Next year My focus won't be on VPPs, but simply on busting every reg on stars at 5/10+.

im only playing up to 5/10max right now

might play 10/20 more next year. as far as anything beyond 25/50 i doubt i will be playing that anytime soon. if i had like 300k to take shots at a fish or something at nosebleeds id likely be using that capital to get started in real estate investing as it is something im spending a lot of time studying at the moment.. i cant think of that right now though im just working on getting better and if i have the resources when the time comes to take shots in bigger games and feel my game is good enough then ill do it.

gotta remember that just cuz im up 'xx' $ from poker doesn't mean that number is my bankroll. i play for a living and have bought a house/car/travelled etc. in fact ive spent too much imo but its something ill be working on diligently next year to reduce so I can start building wealth via other investments.
